I will be buying a ps tv and I only need to play my old vita games on it (cuz it got stolen) and would like to play things like metal gear hd collection, I know of the whitelist hack, Also I read it is possible to install it and then update the ps tv and keep the whitelist forever. But I wanted to be sure, is this possible? Because the file transfer speed from filezilla is absolutely horrible for me and I just want to be able to play the games I already have in my psn without much hassle.

Yep, the whitelist hack will still work when you update.

Awesome, so I only need to set up my ps tv without internet as to not update or set my psn account, then either update to 3.60 with hekkaku site, use hekkaku, install whitelist hack, then update and set up psn account?

Set up your PSTV as normal, but use wifi so you can add a PSN account. You won't be forced to update, you can cancel it if you want.

After that, if the PSTV isn't on 3.60 already, use this: http://wololo.net/2016/12/03/henkaku-update-server-easy-way-update-ps-vita-fw-3-60/ to update to 3.60 and then install Henkaku and the Whitelist hack.

Once that's done, remove the DNS server and update the Vita as normal to 3.63 and then the whitelist hack should stick.

Ok, sounds good, I'll be buying my ps tv in some hours, will be back to report :D

Doesn't it depend on which hack you use? I have the whitelister vpk installed and I don't think that one will stick if I update to 3.63. There is another whitelist hack where you manipulate the db-file somehow and I think that is the one that is safe to update.

Well I bought it used, turns out the former user had updated it, LOL. But I was already happy with the compatible games, the whitelist hack would only be a nice extra, I bought Soul Sacrifice Delta and I'm having a blast with my PS TV! :D Cute little device if you know what you're getting into.

They both should technically stick until Sony checks the whitelist data, but the Anti-blacklist one is probably the "better" option since it supports a couple more games.

Still very unclear on this stuff

If i have a Vita TV i want the whitelisted games to work but i also want to be able to sync obtained trophys...will this process work?

-update to 3.60
-set up henkaku
-apply white list v1 and v2 with antiblacklist
-update to 3.63
-quickly backup vita with whitelist applied in CMA
-block vitacl.ww.dl.playstation.net/vitacl.xx.dl.playstation.net in router
-profit

more importantly apparently v2 whitelist blocks updates/dlc and v1 doesnt but v2 allows for more whitelisted games...antiblacklist app is suppose to install both right? best of both worlds? updates and dlc wit the expanded whitelist?

this is alot of info and i cant seem to find a straight answer anywhere if anyone can help me please! maybe ill make my own thread

VitaTV Whitelister and Moon Whitelister perform the "v1" hack. AntiBlacklist can perform the hacks known as "v1" and "v2". "v1" is temporary, and stops on reboot. On the other hand, "v2" stays until a database rebuild.
