Hey,

havent been in here for a while - still safe to update to newest Version with a9lh?

Also: Using Luma v: 6.3.1 - updated to newest (6.6) but got blackscreen after power it on? Does it have to do with using 11.0.0?

About the blackscreen on boot, you should check the troubleshooting's page of Luma's github: https://github.com/AuroraWright/Luma3DS/wiki/FAQ-and-troubleshooting
I'd suggest you to backup your Nand with decrypt9 or hourglass9 before proceeding in order to be able to recover from an eventually brick.

it shouldn't have anything to do with a9lh. does the system power on, then off? if it does, ur a9lh is outdated and u'll need the arm9loaderhax.bin on the root of ur sd card.

Yes it's safe. It's always safe .. Nintendo cannot remove A9LH.
a9lh has been updated a few times due to exploits being patched so yea they cant get rid of it (at least as of now). but they can fix some exploits

ive had a problem once with the a9lh when my sdcard (128gb) came in. i had to format the card (slow format) the mbr then i fat32'd it and copied the files and it worked. idk why sd cards often come with these problems but i ended up reformatting all my other micro's as not to have problems like this again :/

I dunno. I was using my 128GB card with gateway and using a 64GB card as my internal one. I was using the gateway/a9lh setup. I then retired from gateway and am using my 128GB card only with 88GBs used up. I've not encountered any issues with it, but maybe the 3ds is finicky with settings, more so than just fat32. I know gateway can use exfat, so I had to reformat the card anyway.

it is very finicky i deleted nintendo 3ds folder as i was going to redownload games and the screens flickered rapidly :/ well at least in an a9lh sense. i make backups like this nandMin.bin (pre-a9lh) nandMin1.bin (daily backup) plus jksm (daily for games)

/: you shouldn't make statements like this tbh

I'm only repeating what multiple users have said multiple times on this forum. That A9LH is the be all end all sort of thing. How do you suggest Nintendo removes A9LH to begin with? What everyone always say is that they can't, because if they mess with the partition where A9LH is installed to get rid of with with a System Update, it would brick not only you, but normal users as well. Unless Nintendo starts to roll out user-specific updates that are tailored to each person's console individually, (obviously implausible) what exactly can they do?

I did a9lh when the guide was still using decrypt9. those r hourglass nand dump names, correct? I just backed up my nand yesterday after having not since installing a9lh. it was my first time using hourglass as I installed it when updating a9lh to version 4 a while back. the screen flickering - I believe the guide has an faq question about fixing that unless it fixed itself by deleting the Nintendo 3ds folder. I know u do have to reinstall games if u don't have a nand backup and u brick. any game install made after the nand backup will be lost even if the Nintendo 3DS folder is intact. that's what happened to me when I reflashed the NAND when gateway was only usable with a9lh version 1. I only lost like two or three games though since I was still using gateway for all of my games or most of them rather.

they did it with the wii xD so im guessing they have the same power to do it on the 3ds however after the whole 4.3 bricking good wiis thing i dont think theyd try it so easily. plus that was an end of lifetime update for the wii (psp had one to 6.61 lol it did nothing)
