So they price cut but are still sold out. WTF? So everyone with an preorder from Walmart can getting the lower price?

Yea i never trust walmart.
But all the switch stuff is discounted.
Joycons are like $5 cheaper.
Grips are about $3
Walmart tends to do this, someone might have miss taken it for wii stuff and mark ot down.
We will find out tho.
If people who perorder end up paying thr cheaper price that would suck but walmarr would be the one to take hit since nintendo sold it to them at one price to be sold as another

I bought mine from Target and called customer service earlier when I caught wind of this and they price matched it for me, haha... so idc really if this was an error on Walmart's behalf.

$300 is just MSRP of course, retailers can set the price however they like. Seems silly to cut the price of a sold out item, though. What this does mean is that if you've pre-ordered at a place that price matches, you should be able to get Switch for $15 less now. People have reported some success with price matching from Best Buy.

A lot of places will not price match if an item is out of stock at the place they are price matching (Walmart included).

Isn't there a website in US region that you insert the link of a retailer and then get offered a better price? I know that UK has at least one -- Flubit. Just think of the possibility of ordering a Switch for $250-260.

Still if this thing isn't even better than nvidia shield tablet in some way, is not worth $300, it needs a price drop. Wii u launch was overpriced for that deluxe set of $350 and that price drop quickly just as the 3DS launch price did.

I agree the price is to high or should include a pack-in. As to being better than a Shield in some way, of course it is, it plays Nintendo IP. I suspect that means something to you or why would you be on this board?

I meant hardware wise, but yes it does concern me, cause everyone likes a lower price on anything they want. No one likes paying too much for it unless they have to.

Well is a whole 4 weeks left of feburary to see any price drops, so i guess we will have to see.

They've stopped price matching except under certain circumstances. Basically, no price matching with competitors.

Does target still price match?

I rarely go into a walmart anymore. They built a walmart in my town and the building was 10 years old before they took the wrecking ball to it to build a bigger walmart in the same spot. I figured I must have been paying too much at that store if they could afford to do that.
