Hacking Transfer content to older firmware vita. Which method?

Hey folks.

I'm starting out in the vita hacking world and I have a tough question.
Will be getting a brand-new vita and updating it to 3.18.

I currently have a stock ps3 with latest firmware and a stock ps vita with latest firmware.

What I'd like to accomplish is to get all my ps1, psp and ps vita games bought from PSN (which are already in my latest FW vita) to the new older FW vita.

I heard there are methods using either ps3 or a vita. So would you guys be able to tell me if there's any difference or I can safely use both devices with the exact same results?

Why 3.18? HENkaku runs only on 3.60.

As for your question. You can either back up stuff to your PC from your 3.63 Vita and restore it to the 3.60 using CMA, or just use the PS3 and then transfer the content using CMA. HENkaku, on 3.60, can spoof the latest firmware for CMA iirc.

Hey thanks. Im not going for 3.60 though. Ill update it to 3.18 to play ps1 games from PSN/eboots and use cheats.

Will the backup thing work between the 3.63 vita and the 3.18 one?

Don't think so. The only reason why it works is because HENkaku spoofs the version to CMA.

Isn't there anything similar for 3.18 that would spoof it to?

Not sure, because the Vita itself will try to connect to the internet afaik. idk.

Either way, currently HENkaku is more powerful, especially after Adrenaline and ARK for 3.60. Not sure about PSone, though, it might not be working yet, but Retroarch PS1 may work.

Henkaku gives us access to native homebrew, something 3.18 no longer has access to (and even when it did, Henkaku would still beat it), making it much more powerful than any previous exploit (rejuvenate included).

I would recommend updating to 3.60 and installing Henkaku though, purely because within the next few weeks Adrenaline (which is the enhanced PSP exploit for 3.60) is going to be updated to support PS1 loading and 64MB RAM support in PSP mode, along with various other updates.

Thanks. So okay, I can use the PS3 to transfer content back to any FW vita. What about using my current updated Vita to backup and transfer content to old FW, like 3.18? Would that be possible?

Good to know about that but I do not want to risk updating to 3.60 now until I'm 100% I'll be able to play all my ps1 games fully with cheats and TN savestates. I'm buying a new vita exclusively for that and won't be able to afford a third one. ;/
Worst case I'll update to 3.60 later.

I think Vita games (as long as they don't require a firmware higher than 3.18) can, but AFAIK PS1/PSP games can't. You're better off using a PS3 if you have on.

If you don't want to download things twice, you should be able to transfer games/saves from your new Vita to your PS3, then from your PS3 to your old Vita.

If you want to use PSP plugins, TN-V will work on 3.18. Adrenaline also allows for this on 3.60.

You must update for 3.60, 3.18 not is fw supported for hacks.
You need ps3 for activate your vita only.

He just wants to use TN-V (mainly for full PS1 support), so he doesn't "have" to update anything at all. ePSP hacks still exist
