Tales of Berseria launch trailer

Bandai Namco has uploaded a launch trailer for its upcoming game, Tales of Berseria. The title will be launching on PlayStation 4 January 24 for North America and January 27 for Europe. A PC version will release worldwide on January 26.

10 years ago, a Scarlet Night rose over Midgand and with it came the daemonblight. Famine, destruction and chaos reigned over the people. But then The Advent came and with it, a savior. It is Midgand’s savior that Velvet vows to kill!

I have heard this game will be as good as, if not better than Abyss and Vesperia.
If this is true then it will be an insta-pickup from me.
I'm about 2 hours in and I'm enjoying it. Not sure if I can compare it to Abyss at all this early on, since Abyss took a fair while to get going, but the start of the story of Berseria is interesting and the gameplay, while it seems a little complicated, is fun as well. I'm really hoping it'll be as good as Abyss, since it's one of my favorite games.

doubt it, tales has fallen off a cliff, they just rush these games out yearly now and the quality has suffered

p.s symphonia is still the best one

Dear namco. I would gladly re buy tales of vesperia for the switch. Loved the title a lot. Garcies f was alright too. But i still have it and the xilla games for the ps3. The ps vita game hearts is alright, would rebuy for the switch with English voice acting. Without the English VAs my interest in the story as died n have finished it on the vita. Also no more abyss. Was too short n too easy. Got symphonia twice. The originals n ps3 collection. Symphonia was my first n favorite takes title for the longest time. Now my favorite is vesperia. One last note, Tried to like the zestiria but the combat to me has been watered down n simplified.

I played the demo, and the French translation is awful !
How big compagnie can still release games with very bad translation ?

Word choice is bad (if not incorrect, looks like google translate)
grammar is so so, not very good
editing (sentences fitting in the text box) is BAD !

Another reason why I prefer playing games in english :s
At least, My last game had a very good french sub/dub (Final Fantasy 15)

already have had Berseria pre-ordered some week ago, now waiting for shipping /tracking as it will be released today , for me it is the 24th already.
waiting patiently, this is far superior to Zestiria.

i encourage every JRPG fans to give the Tales series a go, Tales has been my favourite series since 2006 (when i first had gotten my hands on Tales of the Abyss on the ps2).

then i played nearly every Tales game, my 2nd favourite series is DQ.

anyways offtopic im going arent i, Berseria is awesome ! (there is a demo in case someone wants to try it out first.)

happy gaming c:

this reminds me of Tales of Hearts R ..
i remember i bought it for my vita, and reading the dialogue was a pain in the bum at times :/
the translation was AWful, but the translation for Berseria thankfully is fairly good.

but hot damn.. Hearts R ehem.. *shakes head*

Is it sad that the only actual two games in this series i played from start to finish was tales of legendia for ps2 and Tales of symphonia back on the gamecube (When it was 2Disc) Cause i never did consider myself a fan of the game, just the characters and gameplay. I have been playing tales of heart but cause Ys memories of cestia is godlike, i just forgot about it. :P

I saw tales of zestria on sale during some Playstation store sales but i keep wondering if i should buy it or not, hoping it drops below $10. I wanna be guilt free of a game i buy if i don't like it. :)

was it the plot you liked in abyss? or the gameplay?
