I still use my Wii U on a daily basis, I haven't regretted purchasing it at all.

I will give the Switch some time on the market, and then I might consider buying depending on what it brings and if it gets homebrew soon enough

The switch's price isn't the real problem, it's that the Wii U didn't even see a single system price drop during its entire life cycle, and that's why we feel ripped off. Especially me, I bought my Wii U just April of 2015 after hearing about Splatoon.

I guess my mindset was something like "Well Nintendo has a new president that has promised to focus on getting software out to us, so I guess I'll invest in their new system. Maybe it just had a slow start like the 3DS."

Man, I was wrong. I don't feel bad for pirating their games now.

this looks to be even worse than the wii u , the launch is a disaster
not even a single game available at launch, except one port you can already play for free on their last gen system, which i will be doing
not even any games besides mario i am excited about for the forseeable future, and that is nearly a year away
Nintendo is way out of touch and repeating the same mistakes they made with the wii u
70 for a pro controller, and $50 for 1 joycon is also overpriced ,so is $90 for the dock ,
and what happened to "VR ready" i know it was a rumor but it was a credible one, i figured they would give it a 1080p screen , make it only run in 720 in portable mode but have it be able to run at 1080 when plugged in to AC like when in a VR headset google daydream like adapter which would have to have external power or on the dock, now there is no hope for that either with a 720 screen unless they plan on releasing another tablet portion and i could totally see them doing that since the console is so modular and if you add up the prices of all the over priced accessories , $80 for 2 joycons, $90 for the dock $30 for the center controller piece
that is $200 so -300 they are valuing the main tablet unit at only $100
it doesn't even make sense ,
but since the main unit is only valued at $100 i could see them making another one that is "VR ready" with a better res screen and selling it for like $150 , maybe enhanced specs too like N3ds, and then of course you will still have to buy the VR adapter google daydream like device
Nintendo is sneaky and greedy like this and i simply do not trust them i got burned with the 3ds and N3ds bought both , the 1st i had to upgrade and the N3ds had no exclusives for it except one

it is obvious they are overcharging for the dock joycons and pro controller
and then trying to charge for online on top of it and to add insult to injury they are actually trying to sell you a stupid piece of demo software like 1,2 switch for $50 fucking bucks! holy shit just when you thought Nintendo could not get more greedy
this "game" should have come preloaded for free like face raider or AR card game on the 3ds,
3DS gave you 2 demo games for free to show off their stupid gimmicks , now they are giving you nothing and expecting you to pay $50 for a piece of demo software that should have been free, they must be high

they should have priced it at $250 with mario as a pack in and had that 1,2 switch as a free preload

they actually launched a system with ZERO games ZERO real games or exclusive games (BOTW you can get on the wii U) after the disastrous WII U fiasco
they just carry on like the wiiu failure never even happened and then they double down on their mistakes and further abuse their customers the whole thing is just one big fuck you give us your money this is another cash grab to their fans/customers it is frankly extremely insulting

Joycons arent that over price.
$80 for a pair is only $20 more the a ps4 controller and the joycon pair does more then the ps4.
So one joycon is still cheaper then a $60 ps4 controller.

The dock is included with the system so why is that even a problem?
If you move it to another tv then move the dock as you would a ps or xbox.

And there paten has talk about a VR using the switch as a screen and a headset like the gear vr. Which is probably why there is no talk about it. They probably going to scrap that which would be a good idea to stay on point.

And yea there is no demo game with the system. But they never Force you to buy the over priced 1-2 switch.

But i guess each to there own.
I see the system as priced correctly.
