Hi guys if Switch have a Paper Mario and a Metroid(i mean a real metroid game) how you think nintendo goin make it?

Paper Mario:They must return the classic old battle system like PMTTYD,add parterns or others playable characters like SPM,BACK WHIT 100 PIT OF TRIALS and a lot things ;)

Metroid: i just want a metroid like prime 1 2 and 3 and a bit of hunters :) and a lot exploration and NO ADAM

This topic isnt too much about switch is more about games and i want know differents opnions, sorry if i posted in wrong section :)

Paper Mario, every character is Toad now.

There is no hubworld, and there is only one level. You can quick save any time you want, but the whole game takes place on one really large level.

stickers are back, but this time you need a specific sticker for each enemy. Each goomba fight is impossible without a specific goomba sticker specific to that goomba.

There's still no experience, and there is no longer a run option.

Some truly clueless gamers will still try to argue it's on par with PM:TTYD

They ruined PM games (i liked Paper Mario Color Splash but ...... ehmm.... isnt the experience like you play first three paper mario games) but i still believe a good PM game will arrived before i die ;) rsrs

I really think that the next Paper Mario game will still be similar to SS/CS in many ways, albeit improved in some other ways.

IDK.
Id like a new papar mario. They did everything pretty much right over the years. So just keep it going would be nice.
I can see them adding some type of 2 player to the game. It does have 2 joycon which could be play sideways for this game.

Now metroid, They need to make it like 2 and prime. Something real. First person semi open world.
Also would look a little space battles and more flying to different places.

But we will see that they do. They did crap with the 3ds for metroid.

Considering how fun Metroid Federation (despite the craptastic look) is when played in a swivel chair, I'm going to go with VR Metroid for my answer!
I played VR Metroid prime on my brother's rift, and it was really fun. Then I got sick for 4 hours. :'(

They will really have to rethink metroid to make it work in VR without sickness.

Are you one of those guys that doesn't get VR sickness? I know you can get used to it over time - but it's hard when you don't own a headset yourself.

Ya, I'm lucky I guess, but I hear that taking some Benadryl before hand can help if you tend to get sea sickness and what not, though, like many lab made drugs, it may not be good for you to take over the long term.

I used the samsung VR and got a small headach and dizzyness after use.
But the ps vr i can wear for a long time without any problems. I havent try the rift tho.

spinoff? [citation needed]

"Tanabe: Personally, I don’t feel like I am creating anything that is a side-story. Until now, we’ve never had a game focusing on the Federation Force fighting against the space pirates. So the main idea here is that I sort of wanted to change that focus a little bit and see it from a different view from the same universe."
“While there has been some negative feedback,” he [tanabe] says, “this is something that will be very important in the plot, the whole idea of the Prime universe.”

Thats why i dont like (too much) VR its make me have headache
Yeah, that's going to be the big problem with VR. Or one of, rather. My brain has no problem with it, so I'm down for prime with VR all day long. But I'm weird.

I'm betting Metroid Prime is already in development because there has been rumors of a Retro game in the works but no mention of Retro in the Switch event. If there was a Paper Mario, I hope they get back to their roots.

the vram is one advantage when it comes to AI but ends up being slower even with that and really AI is the only use case that needs more than 12gb vram right now

    Interesting lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think I watched a video where two games at 4K where eating just over 16GB of RAM and it's the one case where the 7900XT and XTX pulled ahead (minus RTX of course)
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So my opinion is that they could age a bit better in the future, and maybe AMD will continue improving them via drivers like they tend to do. No guarantee there but they have done it in the past. Just a feeling I have.
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
cyberpunk at 4k without DLSS/fidelityfx *might* exceed 12gb
    +1
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but that game barely runs at native 4k
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think it was some newer games and probably poorly optimized PS4 or PS5 ports
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
they definitely will age better but i feel dlss might outweigh that since it looks about as good as native resolution and much less demanding
    +1

When I played Cyberpunk on my old 2080 Ti it sucked lol
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
AMD could introduce something comparable to DLSS but nvidia's got a lot more experience with that
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
least amd 7xxx has tensor cores which the previous generations didn't so there is the potential for AI upscaling
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
They have FSR or whatever it's called and yeah it's still not great
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
so AMD seem to finally be starting to take AI seriously
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Oh yeah those new 8000 CPUs have AI cores built in that's interesting
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Maybe they plan on offloading to the CPU?
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Would be kinda cool to have the CPU and GPU working in random more
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Tandem even
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
i think i heard of that, it's a good idea, shouldn't need a dedicated GPU just to run a LLM or video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
even the nvidia shield tv has AI video upscaling
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
LLMs can be run on cpu anyway but it's quite slow

Have you ever been beaten by a wet spaghetti noodle by your girlfriend because she has a twin sister, and you got confused and fucked her dad?
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I had a girlfriend who had a twin sister and they would mess with me constantly.... Until one chipped a tooth then finally I could tell them apart.... Lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
They would have the same hair style the same clothes everything... Really messed with my head lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
@The Real Jdbye, I could see AMD trying to pull off the CPU GPU tandem thing, would be a way to maybe close the gap a bit with Nvidia. Plus it would kinda put Nvidia at a future disadvantage since Nvidia can't make X86/64 CPUs? Intel and AMD licensing issues... I wonder how much that has held back innovation.
