It might sound a little bit silly, but since I've never learned how to change fonts with EzSkinner (Right now i have the R8 version) and since i haven't found how to do it on the whole internet, i need to know...

How do i change the fonts of my skin?

It's really frustrating, because I've just finished my first skin, I find it really pretty, and i wanted to use the Clearlooks's fonts (which I viewed from EZFont, because i don't know how to change the font on EzSkinner to see it on my GBA)

Where do i put the asc.dat?
What .bat do i run after that?
What is hzk.dat? It doesn't come with my EzSkinner R8, and I've seen it a lot on forums.

You modify the asc.dat file. Links to any editor might not work, they are 10 years old links.

First of all: Sorry for not puting EZ FLASH IV on the title of this topic.

I know that the most of those links are dead, but I already have a different asc.dat, which came with a download of EzSkinner R8, And my question is:

Where do i put the "asc.dat" inside the EzSkinner folder to compile it on the "ezfla_up.bin"?

Because whatever I do, it's still loading the default fonts, even if I put the asc.dat on "\gba\.shell", or directly into the root "\EZ4skin-R8", or in both. I don't know if it has something to do with which .bat or .exe do i need to compile it correctly, right now I'm using the "skin&txt.bat"

I have the EzFont Viewer to prove that my asc.dat is different from the default one:

Since you clearly have the clearlooks font file, you can look through the uncompiled files version so you got an idea where you put the asc.dat file.

Thanks a lot, I've downloaded the uncompiled version, and it's exactly the same EzSkinner R8 that I've downloaded, that's why i already had the clearlooks's fonts hahaha! But once again, I can't find the way to compile it... But at a certain point, I first erased the default fonts and kept the clearloooks's ones, and renamed from "asc (clearlooks).dat" to "asc.dat", which I believe is the name that the file need to have... And skinned, It didn't worked.

So after that I moved the "asc.dat" to \.shell in GBA, but this time, and I don't know why this didn't happpened in my desk computer... I got this message:
"WARNING: It looks like you're using firmware version 1.75. Putting asc.dat in the gba folder will not work. Instead, you need to insert it into the file yourself. In 1.75 it's at the offset 0x3A689."

Which file is "the file"?
How do I reach to "offset 0x3A689"?

I've tried opening ezfla_up.bin before, but it seems to be impossible, tried to mount it on a virtual drive, tried to directly open the .bin with MagicISO i think, but it can't be opened... So that makes me think that "the file" isn't ezfla_up.bin... I'm not sure if I don't actually know how to open ezfla_up.bin or it can't really be opened...

Have you tried the R9 unofficial version:

Can you upload the EzFont Viewer Fraccoon. It seems to have disappeared from the net.
