Hacking Sky3ds+ 7 reasons why I will wait for next firmware.

1. Sky3ds+ plays all my games with full online capabilities.(extracted my own private header)
2. Even with the recent "guide" there's still a 20% chance of brick or 1 out of 5 bricked 3ds according to a poll.
3. I was searching to see how much a new 3dsxl was going for and to my surprise they are out of stock in all the stores in my area and the cheapest i could find online was $300. (I paid $179 when i bought mine at target.) So the risk of brick is definitely not worth it for me.
4. I could care less about pokemon sumo. I have 3 other Pokémon games that work and they are way way down on my back log of games to play.
5. Already playing Mario maker on wiiu.

6. Eventually sky3ds+ will have an update.
And finally
7. If and when my n3dsxl breaks or just stops working i can just simply stick my sky3ds+ in any future 3ds and my game library will be playable instantly.

Are you that guy that always posts in A9LH threads advertising the greatness and godliness of the magnificent thing called Sky3DS? Because that's the first thing that popped into my mind. What is even the point of this thread? If you don't wanna use A9LH it's your choice but making a thread about it and showcasing why A9LH is so "bad" is just retarded especially when your 7 reasons are retarded themselves. 20% brick rate? LOL. There might've been more bricks now when 11.2 became fully exploitable and I'd bet anything 100% of those bricks were user errors. If you don't have the brain power to read and follow a guide then hacking isn't for you. It doesn't mean A9LH is bad.

You do realize if your 3DS breaks for whatever reason you haven't lost a single thing because all of that stuff like games and saves are on your SD card .. So when you claim you can just grab Sky3DS and put it in another console that's exactly what you can do with that SD card though of course you'll have to hack a new console as well. Not bad considering you're actually not gonna brick if you're not stupid.

edit: Well apparently SD card saves are encrypted to that console itself so I guess I was wrong. This whole topic is still retarded though.

I'd rather use free alternatives to play my backups than spend 80 dollars or less on a flashcart to emulate only so many games, and that's with restrictions.

I recommend installing A9LH anyway. As long as you follow the instructions correctly, it's safe. You can continue to use your Sky 3DS with CFW. I use mine to store my completed saves, with modified games installed on the home menu. It can even work the other way around; the Sky 3DS+ can run modified ROMs provided there's CFW and they're properly encrypted with Decrypt9.

(Sorry to be rude, but only noobs with no knowledge of electronics stuff should get that, and even if you do, you would need to extract the private header somehow. If you're going to waste 90$ for something you can get for free, it better be worth it(which in this case, Sky3DS is not.))

2) 20% chance? The majority of bricks from using the guide was due to user error and there's no denying that. I haven't forgotten about OTP-less (which isn't even a thing anymore) that has bricked a few New3DS' unfortunately for an odd reason.
3) Well what the hell were you thinking? They were all purchased on Black Friday and Christmas for kiddies who didn't have one or wanted another one and aren't being manufactured unless some limited edition 3DS comes out.

I'm pretty sure most of those bricks were caused by user error (and there are many trolls that vote "Oh, 1 br1ck3d mah tree-dee" just for fun or to scare people)

Also you could get banned if you don't use private headers

We just wait calmly for the CFW to update, it happened before when people used certain Luma3DS files, and updated to 11.1, it never booted because of some broken patches, which got fixed later on. Compared to Sky3DS, which you guys have been waiting months to get SuMo compatibility :')
