Ok, I know its crazy that I want to uninstall a great thing that has been long awaited for.

But I want to uninstall it so i can sell it to another person. (A Friend)
So I am currently on SYS 11.2.0-35 and its Usa. NEW 3DS XL!

I want to uninstall it safely and not brick.
I heard of safea9lhinstaller but it said something about it bricking so I got scared.(I am a noob)

Anyone here can help me and give step by step instructions on how to do it?

Thank you 3ds hacking community. -PyroBurnz :shy::shy:

Follow this and uninstall through SafeA9LHInstaller. I believe that if you try to uninstall it while in 11.2, it'll give an error. Although you could use Luma's Kecleon patch to hide a9lh.

The best way by far is restoring the nand backup you should have made before any modding.

Uninstalling via safea9lhinstaller works, but if you have any unsigned critical system titles you're gonna have a bad time...

Can you give me an example of "critical system title" which is unsigned?

Any can potentially be, if you intentionally replaced one...

Custom home menu (for text editing or using the 8.x home on o3ds)? custom keyboard? custom font?
While probably not critical, patched Nintendo Zone list/word censor list/DS whitelist/twlfirm/agbfirm?

Not sure about that since I haven't tried myself, but I think the system always detect for missing system titles (in your example they are not missing but unsigned and therefore non-legit) and request an update to reinstall them. That shouldn't cause a brick. Maybe home menu is an exception, because without it the console can't boot.

Missing or with a low version number is one thing, unsigned (regardless of version number) is another!

There is also people who modded their secureinfo_a to change their region back before the ctrtransfer method was properly implemented, anyone who did that would also brick upon uninstalling

Basically restoring a backup before installing is the easiest method, but if your sure you never messed with anything like home menu mods etc you should be fine to just uninstall via safea9lhinstaller

The guide tells you to take a backup of your nand though. Can't he just use Hourglass9 to restore sysNAND and NOT use the (keep a9lh) method?

I don't understand why your friend would not want A9LH though. It only helps to have it, even if you don't support piracy. Custom home menu themes, homebrew etc.

That's what I said a few posts up, I don't see why this is even a thread.

Whoops sorry, didn't see it. Though I feel like it should probably be repeated until @PyroBurnz actually reads it and does it given that he's still asking some random questions.

To be fair most of the threads created these days are threads that shouldn't even exist in the first place. Instead of reading other people's threads, or asking in the noob thread, every single one feels like they must make their own thread to receive their own personal support to solve their problem that surely is unique and never happened to anyone else
