Much higher quality than the 3DS (and the 3DS is great) so... yeah, it's good.

Needs a d-pad. A real one. Fortunately the pro controller does.

I'll probably hardly ever take the things off the console. They'll be on there for when I take it out of the house, but pro controller at home.

I'm sure my daughter and her friends will get down with the motion stuff though. And ergonomically the controllers do look much superior to the Wiimote, and more conventional in button layout too. Thumbs up.

Where did you get resolution and screen size information from? The presentation didn't mention any of that.

Actually some games state that you can play them at 1080p resolution on TV like mario kart 8 http://www.nintendo.com/games/detail/mario-kart-8-deluxe-switch

Will probably vary from game to game, but it's nice to know that the Switch can support up to 1080p when docked.

I highly doubt you can put an analog trigger inside that chewing gum box sized controller

Considering the mobile controllers I've felt with, trust me, you can stick analog triggers into something that small.

Yes but do those controllers have tachometer, gyro, ir camera, battery, BT, forcefeedback rumble and whoknowswhat inside them?
Id still bet its a digital trigger.

As long as its 1080p and up on the TV side of things I don't care. In fact I don't think I will ever use the portable aspect since I like to sit down and play my games on a large monitor. The Switch screen could be 144p for all I care.

Considering an iPhone 7 is using a 4.7" screen, the point is moot. Comparing a larger, tablet sized screen to a phone is aking to saying 1080p or 4k screens offer no improvement on large TVs since a smaller electronics uses a reduced resolution..
