Hello everyone,

A long time ago I injected FBI into my SysNAND by using RxTools. This afternoon, I wanted to upgrade my hacks on my 3DS and before that, remove FBI and restore the H&S app. Which I did, using RxTools.

It worked on SysNAND, the app has been successfully restored. My Gateway EmuNAND, on the other hand, didn't seem to like it very much. The app had no banner, and I was unable to launch it (same message as launching a CIA on an unpatched SysNAND). I could not use RxTools to restore it the same way I did with SysNAND as there was "No info for H&S app".

So I installed the latest FBI to uninstall the fake H&S and install the original one which I got from 3DNUS. Every. Time. I got into Titles, FBI Crashes after populating the list. Every. Time. So I said to myself "heck I'll just install it over the old one". I got into SD and installed "0004001000022300.cia" (v3077). The console instantaneously shown an "An error occured" message on a black screen. Oops.

Now I can't boot my EmuNAND, every time I try it goes with a "An error occured".

I planned to install A9LH & Luma3DS anyway, and my saves don't bother me but I'm quite sad to loose my NNID (which is only there on EmuNAND since I unlinked them by formatting SysNAND). Would there be a way to make this work again ? I have an old 9.2 NAND save that I did years ago, before setting the EmuNAND. The NNID may still be in there.

If I can't recover the EmuNAND then nevermind, but would there be a way to recover at least the NNID ?

Thanks in advance !

For the NNID, ask Nintendo to remove it, Just say that you lost the 3DS or whatever and they'll unlink it for you, so that you're able to link it again. And you can install freeShop and use that instead of Gateway, if you want.

So what I just leave the EmuNAND broken, ask Nintendo to unlink it, follow the A9LH/Luma guide and relink the NNID to Luma3DS once it has been installed and I can recover my Eshop purchases ? That sounds almost too easy

Delete your EmuNAND, ask Nintendo to unlink your NNID, follow a9lh guide and once they unlink it link it back to your SysNAND.

your EmuNAND is pretty much done for

This is so fragile... I understand why people say to be careful. Hopefully it didn't happen with the SysNAND.

Well then, I'll try it. Do you have any idea of where I can ask ? A support service, email, phone ? (I live in France)

By the way, I just read Nintendo's website and found this :

"Once a Nintendo Network ID has been associated to a Nintendo 3DS family system, it can only be moved to a different Nintendo 3DS family system through the Data Transfer process."

Is that true ? Or like true but not if your 3DS was "lost" ?

That is pretty much true, unless you call Nintendo. Just say your 3ds broke, and that you bought a new one. They'll gladly help you out ;)....
P.S. You can usually find their information on the Nintendo website...

Nintendo's support e-mail. Not if you broke it or lose it.

Which support category should I choose ? The "Transferring content" one ? I can't seem to find any option which suits my case, not an email to just send my problem to. Calling would not be a solution for me since I have a terrible english accent, and the french support doesn't have any transferring content option (which is weird).

Account & Billing, Linking accounts and select click here for Nintendo 3DS in the pop-up.

I had a chat with a Nintendo support member :

"Then it is possible to move an NNID over to the new 3DS once you have it on hand. You'd either chat or call in and have us do a data transfer once you have your new system. Outside of that, we can't disassociate the NNID from the 3DS. "

"Yes. As long as you have the new 3DS you purchase on hand, and you have some information we may ask you for to verify the transfer process, we can go ahead and move your NNID over with no trouble. "

Well.

Send an e-mail to them and they'll do it for you. I'm gonna link an e-mail I send them.
I lost my O3DS, so I bought a N3DS. The problem is that my O3DS had a NNID linked to it (hyoretsu1), so I can't link that NNID to my N3DS. Can you unlink it so I can use it again?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Just sent it to them and they unlinked it.

Depend on what you wanna do. Being that you still have the console, if you want, you can restore saves too along with the nnid.

Does the A+R+L+Up trick works for EmuNAND ? I they happen to refuse the unlinking, would updating/repairing the EmuNAND using this technique work, and then formatting it to unlink the NNID ? I'm not sure whether it would boot afterwards, I never tried to update it, I don't know how one is supposed to.

I think a system format will only log out of it, not unlink it.

I read that if you are linked to an NNID, being connected to the internet is required to do a system format since Nintendo has to know that you formatted your console, and therefore unlinks it for you. Is it true ?

Hello,

Thanks for contacting us. While typically I would refer you to our website for steps on how to perform a system transfer to move your NNID, you mentioned that your original Nintendo 3DS system is no longer accessible. This means your issue can only be addressed by speaking with you directly. Therefore, we ask that you please give us a call.

At your earliest convenience, please contact our Consumer Service Department by calling 1-800-255-3700 any time between 6:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. Pacific Time, seven days a week. In order to speed things along, make sure to have your system with you when you call.

Sincerely,

Nintendo of America Inc.

Well, looks like Nintendo ain't gonna unlink it anytime soon.
