I've been reading through these noob brick post and some of them really don't make any sense. Some tempers have also been noticing this. Compared to the older Plaitect guides the current guide is fairly straightforward and as usual provides all the links to the files needed to install A9LH. The error rate should really be at a minimum. However, there has been a flood of these noob bricks that I'm starting to think that Nintendo might be trolling the forums to make tempers afraid from hacking their 3ds. What do you think fellow tempers?

No. user error is mostly down to a noob bricking, not following instructions, making a nand backup.

Its legit. A new hax (safehax) allows downgrading on any firmware for free and therefor comes broken video guides (a guy left his otp.bin in his guide once and everyone with an o3ds brick) and noobs who can't follow instructions.

Enough people suggest not to use video guides for obvious reasons. It is down to themselves if they brick, at least some have nand backups

I'll just chime in saying I followed the guide TO A T and I am still sitting with no a9lh because the github link just freezes the system.

Edit: And I did one of the first downgrades for cfw when you had to actually "find" the files and use shifty software and I did that on my first try, so it's not like I don't understand.

You likely did something wrong, too. NAND backups don't just disappear from three different places.

I actually found them. I was just panicking at that point but thank you.

As stated before this isn't my first time doing something like this. Back when cfw was newer I had to do a whole downgrade and upgrade process manually.

I honestly believe that 6/10 noob bricks are genuine as I took a record count at my class (their all noobs, and I am their guide) and 6/10 of them were telling me the truth and the other 4 were just messing around with me

I've modded 6 soon to 7 of my own systems using previous methods before dsiwarehax was a thing, so all the new stuff has left me anxious to do. Of course, NAND backup is compulsory tbh

I believe that most of these reports are true. People don't like reading the things anyhow.

I had a problem using safehax/fasthax today where the system couldn't recognize the Decrypt9 payload and it took three tries to fix it - retrying it with different files, using waithax, and changing up the micro sd. Guess what was the problem???? Decrypt9 itself. I had to redownload the thing and rename it to arm9.bin to get it to work.

I was using the guide when you had to make and format your own emunand just to make it work. Seriously it was painful in the beginning, and now it's simple and easy...
