Hacking sky3ds+ or cfw/questions about it (noob)

Hello im pretty noob in those things and havent been around for a long time at the moment. (btw idk if u should post my questions here or in a separate topic)

So im thinking about buying a sky3ds+ since i bought a sky3ds blue a long while ago and because its noobfriendly/easy to use.
But since im browsing through the forum i see more ppl recommending cfw over flashcards like sky3ds. So im thinking of using a cfw over sky3ds+ for my 2ds. (which would be better)?

The thing is since i have like 0 experience in softmodding a 2ds (i did a little with my old wii wayback lol) i still have some questions about a cfw.

So here's my situation:
1. i have a 2ds on official firmware 11.2.0-35E can i put cfw on it?? i also checked this link from the looks of the video it says it can?? https://gbatemp.net/threads/how-to-...1-2-2ds-3ds-3ds-xl-new-3ds-new-3ds-xl.455784/

2. i mostly play my games on 2ds online will this still be possible on cfw??

3. with sky3ds there it was possible to get banned if u didn't use a private header how works this with cfw since you use CIA files??

4. if for any reason i would like to go to the official firmware again can i and how??

5. how does it work with updating for example nintendo releases a new official update what is the best thing i should do at that moment??



those are some of my questions at the moment i hope someone can help me with them.

3. CIA use console header, so you won't get ban unless you go online before the game release.
4. If you following the guide I mention in 1., you can uninstall A9LH using the same tool you use to install
5. Most update is safe, but you can come here to make sure there is no problem to update.

Hello thnx for the response im now following the guid on 3ds.guide. but im stuck at the ctrttransfer part of rebooting.

so this part to be exact.
i have done everything up until the last step my 2ds is rebooting but is hanging on black screen for a while now (20 min).
have i done something wrong and bricked my 2ds??


in one of the last steps i had 2 folders with 32 digits in my nintendo 3ds folder.
one of the folders had multiple subfolders and the other one was the same as the one in the guide. So i left the one with the multiple subfolders as it was and deleted the necessary folder of the one that was the same in the guide.
is this maybe the problem?? please help

You can insert it after boot.
It's because you didn't delete the folder specified in both of the 2 folders.

why did i got 2 folders anyway??
the only reason i can think of is because i got mario kart 7 preinstalled on my system i think?

You probably formatted the system at some point and it created a new folder, either that or the SD card has been used in another 3DS at some point.

i got it to work now and i can install cias thnx for the help guys.

btw i know that you can play region free but is it recommended to use games of your own region or does it not matter that much (for instance pokemon which has eur, usa and jpn regio's)?
