@Hyoretsu has a very good guide for installing Safehax/Fasthax in his thread. I would recommend using the written guide over the Youtube video since the video is a little harder to follow since it's a little out of order and not right from square one.

You won't be getting any unnecessary files or somebody else's OTP since his guide links you to the sources for all of the programs and gets you the 2.1 transfer right from @Plailect's guide. This is the safest way for you to attempt setting up A9LH (besides the original guide by Plailect, but I believe it's pretty much the same). Look at the success rate in the poll, plus the guide has troubleshooting steps which you won't find in a video guide.

his guide is really good even though I haven't had the time to use it I've reviewed it a few times and it looks really rock solid I'm going to try it tonight on one of my friends 3DSs

Use 3ds.guide by @Plailect does ten times the better job.
We don't need people making separate guides for installing something that one community based guide can do already.
Well @Plailect is credited in the guide as showing him how to do it, so I don't think it would be that much worse. It's also very easy to understand so for the people using youtube tutorials because they have trouble with all of the information it does its job well.

Having more then one big guide creates confusion and makes people use outdated software.
Know how many people still setup rxtools? ALOT.

Sometimes, if something's working, there's no need for it to be udpated. What version of SafeA9LHInstaller are we using now, for example.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Maybe translating it into your own native languages would help people too?
Most brazillian people are afraid to do this on their devices, so they pay people to do it for them in sites like mercadolivre.com.br (Sorta brazilian's ebay). Will look into it later, though. Am currently searching for a site or app to learn Python, C or Java as first programming language.

Yet, what guide is the one we use the most + most of us know and we used for a long time, and the community can help anyone who does something wrong/has some questions if they are following the 3ds.guide

Not saying yours is bad, on the contrary, your guide was the first thing i read on the safehax thing, but 3ds.guide is much more cleaner and since most of the community has followed it, we can help others in need by using the same guide or what we know about the guide n stuff :)

I do agree we can have as many guides we want, but i think that the user should first use 3ds.guide, if they dont understand it, we can link them to another guide to see if they understand that one instead of the 3ds.guide :P

Why not add pictures to the written guide? It's obvious the less tech savvy people who are willing to take the small risk(when following the correct steps) are looking for visual aid as English is not everyone's first language on the site. Just a suggestion. I for one always liked to see what the screen looked like before I actually initiated the step.

Not to disrespect plaitects guide, but his guide at one point had 3ds getting bricked with the otpless method later it was removed. Just trying to say nothing is perfect. IMO follow the guide you see better for you @Hyoretsu guide worked for me.

If the guide uses pics, remember that apps get updated and stuff, and having pics could end up confusing the user more, making GBAtemp full of people asking for example "This pic shows something different than what i have, WhAt To Do?!?!?!?!"

I don't really understand the complaints here. The guide is easy to follow and works well. That's what it's supposed to and it accomplished it. There are probably a lot of people who won't understand 3ds.guide. This thread is mainly meant for the people using Youtube tutorials that may result in bricks. Easy to follow and safe is a good thing, especially for these people.

Then, they just have to ask and be answered almost instantly. If something is functional, why change it? (Obviously, if it adds more success rate or more security, update it immediately)

@Plailect Says under the first line that ANY FORM OF HACKING COMES WITH A BRICK RISK.

And there was a Video Guide that the pack that he linked contained the person's OTP, bricking hundreds of 3DS's because of it, OTPless was not made to brick, but OTPless was something nobody expected to brick people, the problem was not the guide, but how OTPless install worked...

I must say that I have no affiliation with Yakara.

So the people who update the guide couldn't update the pics? There's brick threads galore already. If you want people to stop using a visual guide that's not upkept by the official guide keepers then you're going to have to provide pictures. If not people aren't going to listen to a PSA on a site they've probably never even been on because they're exclusively searching YouTube.
