Hacking Can I still play online with luma3ds

hey i was wondering if i could play games online if I have luma3ds like pokemon Sun and other games I physically have on a cartridge. I was also wondering if the CIA's I download from the internet or freeshop could play online or are those singleplayer only. Im a huge noob with this stuff I just need to know so I dont get banned

You can play online with any of your games, whether they're cartridges or installed CIA files. It is highly unlikely you will get banned.

It's something games run off of flashcarts use. If there's more than one of the same header online at the same time, it's a beacon to get banned. Every retail cart has their own unique one, so it essentially tells Nintendo ~You are a pirate~
If you're only using .cia games and real carts, you don't have to worry about it

dont worry cia games(freeshop games) dont need a header they use your consoles unique id as a key

aah okies..just wanted to gain some knowledge about public headers ..dont play online so not a worry for me ..

the header is what tells your 3ds & more importaintly (nintendo servers) what title you are playing . . . every single gamecard has its own unique header . . . people rip the header from a game and apply it to .3ds roms to trick the system to believe they are valid . . . everyone must use there own header or risk a ban when nintendo servers see the same exact gamecerd's header used at the same time . . . i can get more technical if you need, but not simpler

use it just as you would an unhacked 3ds just dont play games (online) before there release date and dont cheat (online) also dont steal in app purchases (pirating dlc is ok though)

Don't play games online before they're released. That's about it.

Also do you guys know of any theme shop CIA or in general have any CIAs you would recommend so I get the full experience, I have freeshop but that's about it
