Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love to learn new stuff, but if the "teacher"s' morale is so bad that you almost attempt suicide in class, I'm not wondering why almost everyone hates going to school. I don't hate school because "hurr durr, I can't play Minecranecraft all day, uninterrupted", but because you would either kill the teacher or yourself because there's zero motivation, and even if you succeed, the "teacher" still mocks the fuck outta you. The education "system" in general is fucked up as it is, and nobody gives a shit about students, because fml

Wish I could just hang out on message boards all day instead so that I learn more about social and culture, etc. than about how to over-analyse something and put me off reading for life.
i like the good teachers, but the bad teachers... well they're bad. i like math, and i like my math teacher. I liike enginerring, and i like the teacher, and im learning new stuff in both of those classes. but, ive been told im a great writer, but i despise lal and the teacher most years (except last year, i liked my teacher last year, she was good). this year especially my lal teacher gives me terrible grades for dumb reasons, and does minimal teaching. she has us read stories that are "recommended for my grade" but i could have read and fully understood way back in elementary school. im not in honors, but its true and everyone i ask agrees... the material is easy, but there is too much, and its graded too hard. i have teachers who give quizzes every class and pride themselves on rarely not giving homework! But youd expect that theyd make homework worth about 5% like the rest of the teachers, but these are the teachers who make homework 15% of your grade, and quizes 35% when tests are 40%, only 5% more than quizes and then classwork and participation are given the last 10%. Now homework impacts your grade more than the 1 test we get each marking period, and you end up hating one of the easiest classes.
classes i like:
Engineering
Math (too easy now that im back in regular math)
Science (i like science, and i have one of the better grades in my honors class)
Phys Ed (sometimes, i like it right now because we're doing rock climbing, my school rocks)
Classes that are ok:
Spanish (easy but im not learning anything at all and cant utilize the time i have in class because the teacher gives work to fill any extra time i may have)
Cooking (easy, but i have to clean after we bake/cook, and the teacher doesnt know how to put grades in the online gradebook)
Classes that are bad and what they do wrong:
World History - Nothing productive is done in class, so i usually spend this time studying. Too much work saved for home, why not do this in class, and why give so much homework to ruin my night. Quizzes given nearly every class, why?
ELA - Work in class is pointless, work is always given even though the teacher knows its pointless, and its meant to fill time and have more grades to put in the gradebook. teacher doesn't know how to use technology and always messes up my grades. and makes a huge deal over student integrity (going as far as to make us sign up for multiple anti plagiarism websites that she says she will run our writing through when we hand it in), yet steals the content she gives us to work on. Uses a 'class wiki', google classroom page, ebackpack (<- really bad), and like 3 other things to try to give us our work, but always messes it up and expects us to know what to do even though it just doesnt make sense! (ex: links to a random page on her wiki in google classrom post with terrible grammar (this is ELA), which somewhere in a random font size says what to do on a page that is supposedly in google drive, but not linked for us to download, then she doesnt tell us where to hand in out of the 4 options we have.)

Likely, after the fourth grade, up until 12th grade, will be full of disappointment with the learning system, and a sad realization that the government has failed to provide us with a competent nationwide learning curriculum. Then you will find that college costs an unimaginable amount, and if you grew dissatisfied with your learning and shirked it off, letting your grades slip, you will find yourself with no scholarships and little money to pay off all the loans, sending you into a life full of debt as an adult.
