Hardware Broken PS4 repair advice

So i picked up a broken ps4 from a friend. I have fixed consoles before but never touched a ps4. Could use some input before i crack it open

When plugged in the console beeps a few times and a solid blue light (the light never flashes or changes color at all) is on top, this happens automatically and i never touch any buttons. No buttons work and there is no video or audio.

When i tried without the hard drive it is the same result.

Cannot seem to make it have any other result

Any thoughts? Should i just send it to Sony or to some local repair shop?

If you have ever reflowed a PS3, it's the same concept here. The BLOD is the ps4 version of the YLOD. Either bust out the heat gun, flux and thermal paste, or have a pro fix it.

Press and hold the power button, you will hear it beep once. Keep holding, it will then eventually turn off.

Press and hold the power button again, it will beep once to turn on then it will double beep. Once you hear that take your fingers off the button. Get the USB cable just in case you need to plug the controller in and see if you then get video.

I was just curious about the blue light. Since the light is not flashing and was just solid is that different from the BLOD being a flashing blue or in this case it makes no difference?

And also I have held down the buttons several times and had no response from them at all so i dont think i will have any luck with suggested method

If the blue light is solid, it should work. Try this:

1.Power off the PS4 by holding down the power button for several seconds. You will hear a beep and see the power light turn red.

2.Power on the PS4 by holding the power button down and keeping it held down. You will hear an initial beep when you press the power button. Wait about 7 seconds until you hear a second beep.

3.Once you hear the second beep, release the power button and the Safe Mode screens should appear. You will need to connect your DualShock 4 controller via a USB cable to the PS4 since Bluetooth is not active when in Safe Mode.

The buttons on the console just do not work
I hils them down extensively and nothing happens. I cant turn the console off or on other than plugging it in or unplugging it.

When i plug it incthe system beeps three times and the solid blue light cones on. No flashing nothing else is possible at this point
