If not, how do I play my backups?

Convert them from .3ds to .cia

Your games need to be in .cia format. You can download a .3ds to .cia converter and convert whatever games you have on you

Just had a quick question though... once I decrypt + convert the 3ds files, can I use these .CIA files on ANY 3DS running CFW?

Or do I have to repeat this process for every different 3DS I am using?
