Main issue's been resolved. I just bit the bullet. It's only a 63 character string anyway.

And, while you're here: my Go arrived a little faster than expected, and the cable I ordered isn't here yet. Currently trying to use the browser to download homebrew stuff for installation - any recommendations? I've been away from this scene for a long time, because my old 1000 got busted up a while back. (I can still rip my UMDs though, so that's good)

How do I change or recover a forgotten password?
If you wish to change your password go to [Settings] > [Security Settings] > [Change Password].

If you have forgotten the password for the parental controls settings menu you must reset it in order to change or remove the settings.

  1. To reset the password for parental controls for the PlayStation Portable Go to [Settings] > [System Settings] > [Restore Default Settings].
  2. The PlayStation Portable system will then restart and your parental control password will be reset to the default passcode of ‘0000’.

I assume since you just got it, you haven't done too much with it.

Thanks for the help, even though I figured it out on my own. All I needed to do was host my FTP app using HTTP and make an XPD file to download it. ^^
