I have purchased a new monitor that has color bending. I'm talking about this.
The monitor is a 6-bit IPS monitor that can display 262k colors. I disassembled the monitor to see who the manufacturer is. It's an LG LP156WF6-SPB1. The thing is, I have exactly the same panel in my notebook, but my Notebook display doesn't have any color bending. How is that possible? So I switched my notebook panel with the panel of my new monitor to see if it's really the screen that is at fault here. Turned out it isn't. The display from my new monitor suddenly doesn't have any color bending. On the flip side, now my laptop panel does have color bending. So I figured that the problem lies within the HDMI to eDP board inside my new monitor. Fortunately, I had a spare HDMI to eDP board for this exact display lying around that I purchased at some point. So I tried it out to see if color bending occurs and damn it, it did occur.

Next I connected my new monitor via HDMI to my laptop. Now I have two identical displays connected to my laptop. One is the internal one and the other is the external one. The external one has color bending. I tried changing settings in the Nvidia Control Panel, but nothing removed the color bending. So what is the problem, then? Faulty HDMI cable maybe? I tried three different HDMI cables but with all three of them color bending didn't disappear. Now I don't know what to do anymore. What is the cause of this color bending and how do I get rid of it? Please help!

Could be the HDMI port. Do you have a DVI/VGA to HDMI converter?
Dude, I appreciate that you want to help. But did you even read my initial post? It can't be the HDMI port because I used two different HDMI eDP boards and my laptop's HDMI, my PS4's HDMI and my Shield TV's HDMI. It's not very likely that everything is broken at the same time! Anyways, I'm actually ordering now a HDMI to VGA adapter to see if it makes any difference.
