Hacking [Question] Downgrading 11.2.0-35E 2DS using a DSiWareHax from a NDSi & CFW N3DS?

Hi guys,

I'm having some issues figuring out how can I downgrade the 2DS (11.2.0-35E) using the tools I have:

• 2DS (11.2.0-35E) (target)
• NDSi with AceKard2i and needed DSiWares titles (SUDOKU & Guitar Rock Tour)
• N3DS with Luma CFW
• Pokemon Omega Ruby entry point with basehaxx

I'm trying to do a NFIRM downgrade the 2DS and following the guides from 3ds.guide, that being said, the issue is that I can't System Transfer from N3DS to 2DS as stated here: https://3ds.guide/dsiware-downgrade-(save-injection-and-second-3ds)

I could transfer the DSiWare title to the N3DS in order to change the save file from the TWL_NAND but I couldn't do the System Transfer.

I understand that the System Transfer is needed in order to transfer the DSiWare title with the exploit from the CFW system to the target system.

However, I found this thread on reddit and I'm thinking that maybe I could modify the savedata on my DSi and then System Transfer to the 2DS.

Can I somehow do that on my 2DS using some homebrew I can launch using my flashcart? (I couldn't find anything)

Following the Reddit guide you will transfer the DSiWare title from DSi to 3DS without updating it to 11.2.
Sorry, if you are on 11.2 you can't downgrade without a second 3DS (at the moment)

You have a NEW 3DS and you can't do a system transfer from NEW to OLD, only from OLD to NEW

Yeah, unfortunately you need a second O3DS/2DS to downgrade a 2DS in this manner.

I'm aware of that, could you please re-read my question? I'm talking about modifying the DSiWare title from the DSi and transfering it via System Transfer to the 2DS instead of modifying it on the CFW 3DS's TWL_NAND. Since you answered I edited the post posting a link to TWTools that encrypts/decrypts the NAND of the DSi but it involves dumping the NAND via SD card and I would like to avoid that.

As far as I am aware, you can't do this. Even if you successfully inject the save, from what I've heard DSi -> 3DS doesn't transfer the save.

If you're going to open something up and use a hardmod to dump a NAND, you could always skip the DSi and do it to the 2DS. Hardmod downgrade is still an option for it. https://3ds.guide/hardmod-downgrade

During a system transfer the licenses for any of your previously purchased DSiWare titles are transferred from your Nintendo DSi to your Nintendo 3DS family system. After the transfer is complete, you will be able to redownload those titles from the Nintendo eShop.

Thanks a lot for that, that answers my question. If I'm not able to transfer the DSiWare title with the savedata then I won't be able to transfer the exploit.

That sounds right, EmanueleBGN posted a link to Nintendo's knowledge base in which it states that only the license is transfered, making the savedata editing on the DSi useless.
