Hacking I am going to update to 5.5.1 from 5.3.2, just need clarification.

I’m about to update to 5.5.1 and I just had a few questions:


I got homebrew on my vWii, my understanding is that it will not be affected when I update my Wii U firmware—is that correct?


Is there any pertinent reasons to remain on a lower firmware (quite frankly I don’t see any and just want to assure this before I update)?


Will updating effect anything with loadiine (will my saves be effected?)—I understand there are better methods now for playing backed up games, so I won’t be distraught if I lose my progress but I would just like clarification.


Is there any preparations I have to take in order to update or is it just as simple as clicking update in the system settings?


I will really appreciate it if someone may answer these questions.

vwii will be fine, 5.5.1 is the best firmware to be on currently, loadiine should be fine. Though yes, there are many benefits to using the tik method instead. And yup disable dns blocking if you haven't and update.

You can also transfer saves from loadiine to the sysnand games placed with the newer method using saviine.
