This method is already known and has some sort of AP check where everything that is not the actual save file may be deleted after transfer. Mounting Vita's file system on Windows is superior in every way.Be a great start to a new year.
You should try using QCMA it works really well.
You just need to have your account registered and a registered PSP game save.
Make a directory in capitals ( called say BACKUP) in the games save directory and transfer from there.
No need for MP4 etc.

It happened to me while on Henkaku.That check doesn't happen when transferring while on HENkaku.
But yeah, filesystem on USB would be way superior.
