After the recent banhammer for people playing early CIA's...

Is is finally "safe" to play Pokemon SuMo online?

I put safe in quotes, because I understand that it's never really safe when using flashcarts or CFW's,
What I mean is to the best of people's knowledge and have the banhammers stopped...

I can use either a CIA via Luma or a 3DZ (A Contrast ISO) with a patched (my own) private header (I noticed that the Contrast .nfo supplies a header for online - should I use my own or theirs?)...

So which might be "safer" (again with the quotes :-) )

Thanks

The game is out everywhere so it is safe. I would recommend you use your own private header and not Contrast's header as that will get banned

I thought the CIA's needed to have the -32 and -64 (respectively I think those are the numbers????) at the end and since the cart to CIA dumps have -0 at the end this causes a probable change to get banned.

My .cia of X is a cart to cia with -0. Never been banned. Plus nintendo can barely tell whether your using a .cia or cart because they look the same to them.

Thanks to all who answered this thread, I'll probably use the .3dz (patched) since i have that ready..

Just another couple of quick questions since it came up in the thread...

I'm not sure what that's referring to... I'm guessing it's a version number... So what might I use/look at to read that number? I ask because I dumped a load .3ds's to CIA for my 2nd 3DS, are they unsafe online?

Thanks again...

What about the leaked ones? I played mine on the 9th so they will check to see under my records on my 3ds and will ban me or no?
The records that they are using to critical land Ban Hammer, they are the ones on their servers of consoles that went through online gaming before release date in the console region. If u didn't go online then U should be safe.

hi guys sorry for crashing the thread. i'm wondering where we can i download pokemon sun or moon roms? i have nds lite thank you
You can't play Sun/Moon on a DS lite. They are 3DS games, so buy a 3DS and buy the games. Also, it's not called jailbreak when it comes to Nintendo systems. It's called Homebrew.

Well as long as you didn't play it before your countries release date, it ALWAYS BEEN SAFE to play online.

The ban was for people who accessed the online features before the supposed release date, althouh like it has been mentioned in the post above by others. Using cia installed with CFW is safe, or a Rom file in flashcart wth proper header is safe. PLAYING ONLINE BEFORE RELEASE DATE IS NOT SAFE!

Sometimes i think people are a bit too crazy for pokemon, really? Couldn't wait until release day to play online? It wasn't the fact that you pirated the game, or played it, is just why would you think is okay to just play online? You practically admitting to something that shouldn't have been possible if you tried to hide it properly.
