I doubt it'll happen anytime soon unless Extrems himself does it. He decided to use some other homebrew library that nobody else uses for compiling (devkitrice or something), and that requires its own toolchain and such, which only Not64 uses. I looked into it a long time ago, and pretty much gave up on the idea right away. I wasn't going to re-compile GCC, compile devkitrice, and then try to adapt libwupc to it.

Can someone tell me if Homebrew Channel for Wii U can be controlled with a Wii U PRO Controller?
HBC on vWii cannot be controlled with pro controller, no way, no how, not possible. Unless the dev steps in and implements, but why bother really? hbc isnt broken, no need to add things that might break, also the main wii system menu cannot be used with wupc so you still need a wiimote, best save the wupc for the games :)

Who developed the Homebrew Channel?

Team Twiizers, now known as Fail0verflow. You could possibly ask them for the source code, but I doubt they'd let it go. If they had intended on doing so, they probably would've at the peak of the Wii scene back in ~2011 or so.

I might aswel ask a quick question. Im using the buggy build of wiiSXR (wiisx fork) with libwupc implemented. I ran it with one wupc and it ran brilliantly. I tried to sync a second controller and the controlls went to total shit, nothing worked and had to hard reboot. Now it doesnt work with even one wupc. Anyone know why syncing two controllers would cause it to freak out like that? shows clearly in system menu that it can handle two controllers.

yes, it works INSIDE usbloaderGX.
it does NOT allow playing games with the controller.

it works in nintendont, because when you play gamecube game you are still inside nintendont and it's nintendont which access USB to read buttons and Nintendont which interpret the game's code.
When you launch a Wii game from USBLoaderGX, you are no longer in the loader. Wii games can't access USB to check button's data.
Damn, I woke up too early. The Wii U controller is so much better than the Wii classic controller. Darn Nintendo.

EDIT: Oh, lol. I thought I was quoting a post from a few days ago, not a year ago. My B lol

I have a fake WUPC that I can test and investigate.
Currently it only syncs and connects to SM but not to homebrew applications that already use libwupc (Wiiflow, Nintendont...)
I'll be glad to go through everything needed to get it working in wii homebrew via libwupc

how can i test and what tools do I need?

Now the that the Homebrew Channel is Open Source, has anyone tried adding libwupc support to it? I tried taking a crack at it, but had no luck, it seems to be built much differently than any homebrew source code I've looked at.

so snes9xgx is now compatible with the wiiu pro controller... fine but I can't figure it out how to use it as a second player. I have a wiimote+classic pro and a wiiu pro controller and they both sync as player 1.
