Hi

I've modded my 3ds's to the letter with the 3ds.guide, however after completing it on n3ds the 3d has gotten messy and buggy.

They do not display properly at all, its abit messy, it looks like the 3d is sliding to the side when using the 3d slider.
Also the screen does seem to be misplacing the pictures, creating tearing and breaking the 3d makeing you dizzy.

I did not have this problem before I followed the guide to the letter.
The ONLY issue I had was the random unexplained glitch when installing a9lh.

I do NOT have this issue on o3ds.

Anyone who knows what I can do? The 3d is really worse since a9lh+luma, can it be the x(L2) clock setting? (Didnt seem to improve when I tested it shut of.)

Im getting it both in menu and games, anyone knows what this kind of issue can be?

It just seems like the 3d display isnt displaying the right way that itshould.
Ive tried recalibrating 3d and super stable3d with no improvement at all.

Is this a known issue on the n3ds?

Thanks

never had an issue like this, you didn't do anything weird like using files for the old 3ds on the new 3ds when hacking cause you already had them or something did you?

Try renaming the 'Nintendo 3DS' folder to something else and see of that fixes it - if it does you'll need to find and clear the data for some of the system data.

Otherwise maybe check to see if you have franken-firmware

No I dont think so, I followed it to the letter, Im careful, the only way I would've done that would be picking a wrong rar file in the download by mistake, but I did keep an eye out for that, and I keep the files on very different location, but you never know.
IF that would be the case is it reversable?.

Should I try restoring the sysNAND in order to see if that affects the issue?

I'e tried recalibrating both 3dsetting without any success, the problem doesnt seem to lay there. But its just the same it just looks like the screen is being dragged abit to the sides and some 3d are displaying but having issues.

What do you mean with franken-firmware? I started at 9.6 downgraded with no problems, then updated with system update later as the guide says.

This issue tends to tear very much when moving your head, then the 3d-image seems to mess up worse until you're still, looks like it trying to render the image at the right direction but it doesnt seem to do that and the 3d glitches or tears, looking awful.

I might have the issue on o3ds aswell.

If you followed the guide - you would have downgraded twice to n3ds 9.2 then o3ds 2.1 - unless you followed the guide a while ago when otpless was the default install method for n3ds.

You should have a nand backup from n3ds 9.2 - so try restoring that. Regarding franken there could be leftover titles from 2.1/9.2 or settings that's inteferring - however I'm not sure if there's an up to date tool for mismatched title checking

I followed he newest which is currnt and up to date.
Yes ofcourse I have 9.2 backup.

I do not mind clearing software or format etc.
I thnk you might be onto something, since I forgot to format N3ds just prior to the install. Could it be something like that, and that I got "residue" titledata? I dont know how it would ffect the entire system though.

Iirc there are programs that let you redownload fresh tickets and it'll trash any bad ones. Acting up like that sounds like something the 3ds would do on 2.1 tbh, not current firmware. U can also try the 3ds hacks discord. Some very helpful ppl there.

Open the camera app and try to use the front facing camera (the one pointing at you). If it does not work, the issue with your 3D is the camera. If it does work the issue with your 3D is software based.

I hope this helps.

Tried this, no problems with the camera though.
Will try renaming Nintendo 3ds folder.
If not ill try sysNAND restore.

Since this seems to be an unfamiliar problem im scratching my head. Thanks for the tip though

Well... 2 things:
1) This glitch was in 9.2, before going to 2.1? If it was, the it was the system titles. If not, maybe you want to re-restore the backup lf 9.2.
2) Thinking of it, it seems to me like an old bug reinand and rxtools used to have with N3DS. I autofixes opening and closing the 3DS, but if you use the latest version of luma, this should not happend.

Thanks however I didnt really check out the 3d when I was on 9.2. Just followed the guide. Dont have reinand nor rxtools.

Its just strange, if I open homemenu for example and I slide the 3dslider it looks like the screen moves abit to the side aswell. Hmm

If you close the lid and open it again, does that make a difference? I thought this was a known bug on new 3ds with cfw's. I'm probably unaware it was fixed though.
