Can I use this (via system transfer) to inject a DSiwarehax on a new system?



I have to say the old 3DS I found the game on is not on CFW, but I could boot into homebrew if needed for the hack of the new system.

what do you say? will this work or should I wait for slowhax to get rid the need for a DSi game?

assuming you have a way into the homebrew channel then you can hack that o3ds itself

so the way is:

get CFW on the old 3DS. then transfer the system to the New3DS (including DSi game) and then hack/downgrade the New3DS?

Yes, just follow 3ds.guide/get-started then you'll be able to use it to downgrade other consoles.

on 3ds.guide they say I have to already have the game installed on the target 3DS which I do not have. I have it on the source 3DS, but the game was pulled from eshop and is not redownloadable, I guess.

You need it in the source 3DS to do a DSiWare downgrade. Having it on the target is only for if you're trying to do it with one console. You will have two.

if you want cfw on both then yes
if you only care about the n3ds then you can call nintendo for a system transfer then just do the process i linked on the n3ds

There's that too - hopefully you don't have to upgrade to be able to sign into the NNID.

what about ctr-httpwn to access the eshop

True, but they'll need to make sure they can access homebrew on the N3DS otherwise they might end up with no modded consoles

I do have oot3dhax working. so that should do the trick. but what about that DSi game pulled from eshop? I cannot use it on the New 3DS when it was pulled, right? I only have it on the old 3DS where it does not benefit my goal, right?

You need it in the source 3DS to do a DSiWare downgrade. Having it on the target is only for if you're trying to do it with one console. You will have two.

use oothax on the n3ds . . . wait you never mentioned the fw of either 3ds . . . before i go any further spill it

Yes, you need CFW on the source. I assumed since you said it was old it has 10.7 or less?

Also, the games are only pulled for those people who haven't yet bought them. They will transfer, and you can redownload them from the eShop if you ever accidentally delete them.

so your best solution is

so just hack the o3ds and use that to hack the n3ds

but also like i said if you dont care about that o3ds and think it is undeserving of cfw then
you can set up oothax for the n3ds
then call nintendo to unlink your nnid from your o3ds system
then link that nnid to your n3ds
then use oothax to run ctr-httpwn (that homebrew will let you into the eshop on lower fw) re-download the 4 swords
then do the guide i linked in my original response

you cant buy it anymore (it was free but still) but you can re-download it

OK, good to know. I do own it on the old 3DS and would try to transfer the license to the new device. I did not know you can still download it even though it had been pulled off from eshop. Now that's clear thanks to you both!
