Thanks for the video, I have since resolved the problem. It was a problem with the partition table (created by windows) on the usb flash drive. I deleted and recreated it under linux this time and it works. Dump now in progress... ;-)

Thanks again.

Learning to read is a really useful skill in life. DiscU 41.b. e.g. discu <key>.bin <game>.wud c

Where you don't need to put the <>. Or use FIX's new tool (in first post).

So since I did write a dumper, I now also decided to write a fitting converter to .app files for it - called wud2app. While it may do pretty much the same as DiscU I wanted to write it myself to see how it all works and to have it open-source for anyone to read.
Also to make it easy to use I've updated wudump to v1.3 with only this change:
-added dumping of common key to make it easier to use with wud2app
Any chance of including the functionality of wud2app in wudump?

Or maybe another app (disc2app maybe?)

dumping discs straight to the install files would be nice and in theory should be faster for most games since most games use a fraction of the overall disc

This is a problem a small amount of people seem to have with my recent apps which do the IOSU exploit and then install something, personally it never happend to me so I really cant tell you why it happens or what to do about it.

Thanks for the reply. I redownloaded my DS VC game and used the older 1.2 python script to redo haxchi and everything is working again with no white screens, including the latest version of wudump. I didn't test this extensively, such as by redownloading the DS game and using the haxchi 2.2 installer on the "fresh" game (don't know if that could have any effect).

I still have a problem dumping my LEGO The Movie disc. I tried Version 1.1 and 1.3 as you can see some files are not written to the end on the USB-HDD see picture.

Problem.jpg

On the try before part5 was affected.
Before I made a good dump of LEGO Dimensions with the same config.
Any idea what happend?
BTW on LEGO The Movie EUR DiskU crashed using c option wu2app is working fine.

1. This is not new.
2. What's the point? You can just use utik, quicker, easier.
u can use utik only if u got the title.tik of the game ,for only eshop games u can't...just full dump and repack it , if u do know the way to have the title.tik
for eshop games share it ...

There are others apps that create the title.tik for you if they are not on the title site. So I got the wrong app, shoot me. Funkiiu?

It makes them better. Lately the scene releases have been those CFW rednand releases. These make the good original ones where you dont need a CFW to run them. :)

I think whoever is in charge of uTikDownloadHelper should start adding proper working releases to the apps list instead of rednand releases.
It does make them the same as the "good" scene releases though?

Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? The game I am currently trying to dump is Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker

I am using the cat command to combine the parts into one
Code:
cat game_part*.wud > game.wud

But doing a md5sum check. results in a different hash
Code:
md5sum game.wud
1343854a78a0888f6bb3717150aa74f4 game.wud
wudump v1.3 by FIX94

Hashes for game.wud:
CRC32: B62F7012
MD5: 3EF3072E556B6B434DF66CBE356F893E
SHA1: 558EE26F6F9F77FF72C91842F86F9634898B2929

Also using the wud2app results in "Invalid FST!"

Edit: Nevermind, apparently using wildcards was a bad idea.

You are ON FIRE @FIX94

Question, is the common.key or the game.key the same as what I've seen referred to as the "drive key" (a set of 32 characters) on scene releases? If so how do I convert it/them into plain text?

the key on scene releases is the game.key, common.key is just the wiiu common key needed for wud2app to extract the stuff. the keys are saved in hex so if you look at it in a hex editor you'll be able to read it easly.

Is there a speed difference between ripping to SD and USB? Mario kart is giving problems and was thinking maybe USB might fix. Or is it safe once wudump is open to swap SD card?
