This needs to be quoted in red and add more detail about not touching "NEVER touch the DS VC you used to install it again and just generally be smart about it, I am not responsible for your dead wiiu because of user error."

I hate to be the last post of the page.
It's okay. It was my own dumb mistake. Although I definitely didn't think that simply moving it into a folder would cause such a disaster. Moving the homebrew launcher app around on the system menu seemed safe, so I mistakenly thought moving this DS game would be safe as well.

Have you bought the DS VC in the eShop?

i feel like the wiiu works with a computer-esq structure, so like this C:\haxchi.elf and after putting it in a folder it became C:\folder\haxchi.elf and so coolboot could not find the file..

OK, then I have no idea what caused this.
It's alright. I'm not confident that an unbricking solution can be made in the (near) future. But I guess I'll be sticking to following the CEMU emulator. Maybe I'll be back in 5 years for the Nintendo Switch lol.

Nope, the WiiU doesn't work like that.
Could it be I wasn't on the latest Haxchi? I was on some version before 2.0. I saw no reason to upgrade because mine was working just fine.

Edit: I also made my Wii U region free some time ago if that helps with anything.

Well as far as i can see the CBHC installer installs the latest haxchi. So that cant be the problem. The thing with region free... no haxchi worked before for, so that cant be it. There are only two possibilities imo. Either system.xml points to the wrong titleid or it points to the right id, but the game isnt there. Both wuite unlikely according to what youve said...

EDIT: Has anyone else installed Coldboothax with Yoshis Island DS?

This is even more dangerous and scary than when coldboot hax was first mentioned. Upgrades are supposed to bring stability right? lol jk....
I for one am gonna pass on this one. I have kids that like to play the wiiu and they have their own little folders on the home menu so this is a no-go for me.

after installation, does it exit back to the home menu or reboot and use coldboot-haxchi?
if it reboots and use the installed coldboot, then it worked fine before he moved the game to a folder, which means it was properly installed. something he did after the installation has cause its current situation.

if it exits to the wiiu menu without patching it, and he moved the game before rebooting, could it be a bad install ?
