Hacking Is it still possible to block Nintendo Updates via url blocking?

It used to work for me, but I got a new router and trying to set it u and it doesnt seem to work. I can still get to Miiverse and FreShop with these blocks, unless thats normal? I thought it would block anything Nintendo on 3ds. My blocks --> http://imgur.com/L7r0Yq5

I have the same question if DNS blocking works on 3DS aswell with the DNS listed on loadiine.ovh .
You don't need your router to block them. DNS blocking can do that. TubeHax was down, but since then, there are 3 DNS that works for blocking, so you don't have to worry ^^

Miiverse and FreeShop should work.
If you can't connect to the eShop, then you're good. Since it's on 3DS, you can test it in an updated emuNAND first before you apply it to sysNAND.

There aren't many reasons for needing to block Nintendo's update servers on 3DS these days.

What are you trying to achieve? It's likely you don't even need be bothering with this.

The 3DS doesn't auto update in the same manner as the Wii U. For the time being it's safe to be on the latest update assuming you have arm9loader.

What I want is to stay on current version and not update. There is no reason to update. But if I dont update Ill get update nag next time there is an update. So I want to block it.

Well that would be the case if no one in the modding community snitches about how to get rid of a9lh.But with the bug bounty up for 20,000$ weather it be smea,yellows8,aura or anyone who know the exploits weakness,someone will likely give away the secret to Nintendo and then the next update will be the deadzone.

I guess well have to fall back on emuNAND if that day ever comes. I'll miss having one NAND to deal with and I would be using emuNAND begrudgingly.

That's if Nintendo doesn't target gateway first and make it so updating emunand updates both nands which is why everyone switched to a9lh in the first place.
