Regular hardmod, bluetooth hardmod, wireless charging hardmod, and the easy-sd hardmod (n3ds only).
Last one has no sautering involved, it is just cutting open the back of the n3ds so you don't have to unscrew it to access the sd, but it is a hardmod none-the-less.

no need to do that nowadays we can wirelesly use controllers with ntr, i'm playing moon on my tv with my ps3 controller as we speak

uhm, what i have done on my n3ds xl are:
- C-stick psp 1000 mod
- analog stick with majora's mask
- swapped led's
- bluetooth transmitter inside the 3ds - got text + video guide up for this
- wireless charger inside the 3ds - got text + video guide up for this
- hard nand mod
- shell-swap + also motherboard swapped (eu to us) but that's not really mods more replacements -

What do I need to do these? What exactly is the last one?
Also, I hate to tell you, but I think that the R4i that you got (Unfortunately, the same as mine) is the one with the time bomb. Which means, it'll only work until sometime at 2018. If you already knew this and bypassed it somehow, could you tell me how?

The SD card thing is easy, just drop it a couple times. The screw things will break. :-P
If you want to do crazy things you could add LEDs and a I2C device to control the colors in a clear case. Should be doable with some software tricks.

You bypassed the R4i time bomb somehow? I don't know exactly when, but I put my 3ds' date at 12/1/2020 and it showed up an all black with "Wrong date or firmware expired! Please check NDS machine date configuration" written in red.

i've never changed my date to the future, so i never had any trouble with my r4i, even if it dies on me in a year or two, i can still take the sd and put it in some other r4i, + i never even use my r4i xD
it's more a spaceholder in the cartridge

yes you can also just use some pattern for more grip, or just leave it blank and get just the material, but chose wisely, + the install is not as easy as it sounds, i had to make spacers out of paper to make it fit, because even though they say it's 100% the same size, it's not

TBH I'd love the wireless charging mod, but I can't have it on an O3DS xL because Safety Reasons TM
i've looked in to all models, the n3ds xl is the only one that has really the space for it, it's possible to get it inside a n3ds, non xl, but it will create a little bulk on the backside, because you'd have to put the coil between the housing and the coverplate, while on the xl you can get it inside the housing.

I need to know how you swapped the led's colors. They look amazing.
Where did you get the custom analog stick and how did you put it in? Same thing for C-Stick.
