Never mind I think it's fixed now....

I left it for 5 minutes after turning it off and on a couple of times, kept freezing.

Now it booted but was lagging and now it's working fine...

I was so terrified though. I thought a9lh was 100% boot successful rate? First time this has ever happened to me!

It can all depends on many things, SD card, any hardware faults, etc.

Thanks for the tip, i keep my N3ds supper safe. Maybe it's my slow micro sd card then? Perhaps I should back everything up and buy a newer one?

While typing this. My N3ds froze again but this time while playing pokemon sun. I think something is wrong!!

Most likely, yes, you should buy a new one, just in case. You dont want to end up with a fancy paperweight

Have you updated to latest lumas? Also, latest FW? It could be a hardware fault, or potentially the sd card.

Everything is upto date. It reallymust be my sd card! When I was putting the game onto it through FBI it took forever! Must be the SD card.

What is the current SD card capacity? (Size) personally, if everything is on sysNAND and not emuNAND, make a backup of the sd contents, upgrade to a bigger size one, format to FAT32 and paste back onto the new sd card and you should be fine, if problems still occur, hardware defect is likely :)
