Hacking Bought PS4 3.15 Firmware Good/Useless?

Just bought a PS4 with 3.15 Firmware, is that good or useless at this point?

Or simply USB update to 4.01 and wait for:
a) Exploits next year
b) Ps4 compatible 4tb drives (version 3.55 makes your ps4 admit 4tb drives).

i am actually getting tired of waiting, i am on 4.01 since a few months now.

i will just update it today , i am really tempted to buy Draon Quest Builders as it is on sale now.
its 38$ for ps plus members and i happen to still have my ps plus subscription from last year.

i will have to make haste.
i think i will just sell my ps4 when a hack comes out on a lower firmware and will just buy a new ps4 downtown.
in my place they keep very old ps4 sets i guess, and they are mostly below 3.60 /3.50

time will tell when a cfw will come out, i like the idea of a CFW on ps4, would be damn nice to have.
but i think it will take another year or two for that to happen , so for now i shall just update, i miss window shopping in psn store on the actual console xD

because window shopping psn store on the phone/pc does not feel as cool as on the ps4 =v=

to be honest with you ,the place where i live the electricity these days is being horseshit, by that i mean that we have blackouts for like about 10 times per day or even more.

and it is frustrating as hell, a ups does not help much when you get a blackout for like 10 times right ?

i am so damn frustrated right now, gamers from some middle eastern countries are to be considered not so 'lucky' because of this bs electricity problems.
specifically in corrupted countries such as (just look at my country logo haha).

*sigh* oh well.. i have my Vita and 3ds'es..

I'm going to do like you and upgrade and just pick up another older FW PS4 when the scene is more matured. There's a lot of good games that are out and are coming out for higher firmware than the exploited ones.

yep do that , time will tell if there even ever will be a cfw for the end users.
there is Valkyria Azure coming , persona 5 , Tales of Berseria and Dragon Quest Heroes 2.
all in the span of the next 4 months (2017).

so yeah the ps4 is especially going to be a jrpg haven so i am happy to own the console.
and obviously will update and just grab those physical copies of the games i mentioned and when a good cfw will be out , then i just gotta stroll around town and look for a console on a lower fw. preferably a Pro.

but for now my 2nd model of ps4 (not slim, just all matte finish) is more than enough for me, the ps4 is a beast.

i would recommend you to play uncharted4 and last of us ,those are also fantastic games.

i also want to play the new Tomb Raider game on ps4, forgot the title , a friend of mine has it so i will just borrow it off him eventually.
and there is also Ratchet and Clank ,will also borrow it off him xD

and lastly but not least, he has another game i want borowed, GoW 3 remastered.

If people are tired of waiting then answer is simple. Buy another console, so one is for legit games and the other can collect dust until a exploit/entry point is released that allows copies to be played and tbh, as I cannot see that happening anytime soon.


It's ignorant and silly to assume that if you are on 1.76-4.01 firmware that you are owed a exploit today, tommorow or next year to enable piracy, as some idiots on Wololo comments have said in not too many words.

Just wait it out or update and play your real discs.
