I know how to code, but I can see why a lot of people have trouble with coding.

Code is pure logic and math. If you're not at least decent at both, you're going to have a hard time writing anything beyond the most simple of functions.

this thread is for me really and get some understanding of life of coding. in my university class i was top of the class in coding. but for some reason i just stopped and cant put a finger on why.

i should be a top top coder by now, but am not and i dont know why?

In my case, it's motivation. I know how to code in C++ but for my freshman coding class, we're being taught the Racket programming language which is basically Scheme. i find it really really boring. But you gotta do what you gotta do. Ask me again after 2 years when i'll be well exposed to some advanced coding concepts.
