Hacking How to play DS games (>4mb) on 3DS?

Hi. From what I have gathered you can now play certain DS on 3DS if they are under 4mb? If this is true, how shall I make it work? Do I simply have to convert the .nds to .cia or what? Thanks in advance.
EDIT: Wrong title! It´s supposed to be <4mb!

Yes but ask if he could play ds games. He didn't mention what kind of games.

If you have an NDS flashcart, including the blue Gateway cart, Luma 3DS allows you to use it, even if it was previously blocked by an update. Then you can play NDS ROMs of any size.

I'm pretty sure retail NDS game wouldn't even work on TWLoader since I'm pretty sure it's mostly designed for DSiWare, DSi comptabile homebrew and DS demos since retail DS games and DSiWare read data differently (DS games always read from slot 1 while DSiWare reads from NAND (or SD card for this instance))

But it´s more convenient to load them off your SD card since it´s for FREE!!!

It would be more convenient if you could play DS games over 4mb.
That is not the case, so just buy one since it really is the most convenient because is the only way to run most (or every) DS retail rom.

You got me there. But I´m not sure if I should buy one, because you´ll be able to load all DS games off the SD card soon (hopefully).

DS flashcarts are dirt cheap now unless you are looking for a DSTwo. And you don't even have to worry about the next firmware update patching it out like back in the day. May as well get one since 1) it's tried and tested and 2) what is a few dollars in the grand scheme of things?

So, if you really want that bad to play DS roms, buy one. If not, wait for long time and let developers work without hurry them up with post like this one...

I actually have read both of those threads. I was sure that you could play demos, certain homebrews and under 4mb games. But my question was how. On the TWLoader post I couldn´t make out if he was talking about the SD card or not ↓↓↓

With this, you can run your NDS games, with the DS/DSi boot screen, and clock speed of 133mhz (faster than normal DS).

I also want things confirmed so that I haven´t missunderstood anything. Pretty normal, right?
And I didn´t mean that the developers had to hurry. That "(hopefully)" at the end was supposed to clarify that I didn´t mean it and that I only hoped it would happen soon. There´s nothing wrong with wanting something?

I felt like this needed it's own thread. I might create a new one to coincide with retail ROM loading from SD Card, which may happen before the release of Nintendo Switch.
