Hello poeple :)

So I have a WiiU with the first 5.51 exploit (the one who had leaked somewhere near May iirc), and I was mainly using it to play some uncensored game.

I saw that there was some more advanced hack who got out 1 or 2 month ago, but I'm a little lost.

If I understand correctly, there's one who use a "second" nand on SD/USB (rednand), and a one who are needed to be enable at each time the console are up(IOSU CFW). Having only a 32GB SD card and a 32GB WiiU (I have an external HDD but I'd rather not use it for that), I was thinking about the second one. How can I install it ? If I follow correctly a guide, is there a lot of chance to not brick the console ? (I already hacked some console, so I'm used to this kind of thing, but I wanted to ask anyway).

Also, I'm primarily using the hack to play game with uncensored/undub patch (like with #FE). I know that with previous exploit, there wasn't any high enough privilege to play the games online. Is it possible now ? Do I still need to use Loadiine.
Having the game on disk too, I wan't to know if I can use the patch externaly to play on disk, like Hans for the 3DS (because some game take a lot of space). Is it possible ? (I was thinking about the uncensored/undub patch of Xenoblade X, #FE and Fatal Frame 5 (if there are one for this one)). With the old exploit I was able to play #FE only with loadiine and no internet. For this game it's not a big trouble, but for Xenoblade X it can be pretty bad =/

Thanks in advance for the answers ;)

Hello poeple :)

Herro!

Basically you can backup your whole 32GB NAND onto a 64GB+ SD card, and boot into that using a patched firm.bin using the Homebrew Menu everytime you boot your console (booted using the Browser, or Haxchi which needs a DS VirtualConsole Title installed from the eShop) which boots into a copy of your NAND which resides on your SD and allows you to install games among other things

Or you can use a patched firm.bin that you run from the Homebrew menu or Haxchi everytime you boot your console, which basically does the same as the other method, but it boots into your actual NAND and applies the same patches, again allowing you to play pirated games ;)

But in all seriousness, both versions do the same thing, one gives you a safety net just incase something goes wrong, the other saves you 32GB of space on an SD card, personally I only got into the Wii U CFW about a week ago, I initially installed the RedNAND onto my SD, then found it was unnecessary and just removed it and got the other firm.bin for "thatisosite"

Here are some helpful links to get you going:
