Hello, I just made an Fieldrunners downgrade on a friend's 3ds, and after I transfered back again my account I realized that the FBI takes forever to install CIAs on my restored 3DS...

I tried install a game of 400 mb and started well, but at 25% it got slow transfering .25mb each 10 seconds. So after 30 minutes it only installed 40% and got even slower, what could be the problem?

I tried to defrag the SD, and its 30% fragmented, and no defragger tries to defrag it (windows defragger, defraggler, smart defrag). its stuck.

what can I do?

Never, ever, ever, ever, ever defrag a solid state device. They do not need it and it can harm the card.

Copy your files to your computer and run h2testw to see if your SD card is corrupted/defective. It will help determine the health of your card.

if the card is a class 4, that would be the reason. if its a class 4 card, update to a class 10 32gb sdhc or a 64gb sdxc.

What's the error? Most likely a fake card.

Test finished without errors.
Reading speed: 76.0 MByte/s
H2testw v1.4

its an ADATA SD.

I closed without copied the error, and tried again. now it doesn't have errors..

I'll copy the files again and try to install a CIA, and see what happens... also it could be slow too if the CTR-NAND is fragmented?

EDIT:
Looks like que SD its ruined. Now I cant copy files, its so slow that it take 10 minutes to copy 1MB...

It was a corrupted SD card. Happens often. Get a new one. Test it before you use it.

It sounds like a hardware failure of the flash chip. Back up the entire contents of the SD card, in case it completely dies. Transfer your files to a new SD card and see if your install speeds improve (if you have an emuNAND, use a partition manager to transfer that to the new card). Also, how much space did you have left when the install speeds dropped? I notice that sometimes write speeds will plummet when the SD card has <10% of its total capacity left regardless of the size of the file you're trying to install.
