Homebrew I'm a big, fat, dumbo when it comes to 3ds system transfers lol

So I'm quite the frikkin' pickle..
I ordered two black friday N3ds's.
downgraded 1 successfully, called nintendo and got my NNID back on source n3dsxl.
now the other 3ds came in, and here's where the problem lies.
I've got two options (to my knowledge..)

1. transfer normally with source n3dsXL since the call to nintendo reset the system transfer wait time (I really don't want to do this, considering I'd have to wait a whole 7 days to get my NNID back.)

2. Since I have a nand backup for the 1st black friday N3ds, i still have the tickets and installs for the dsiware game, and the sub marine game. The bad thing is that the backup is on 9.2, and if I update the titles get deleted.. I was gonna try to use ctr-httpwn to maybe bypass the additional 5 day wait time, but Idk if that'd work..

I think I provided a bunch of info here, and if anyone needs more to help me decide, feel free to ask! Thanks!

The plailect guide section on dsiware downgrade has a link to ctr-httpwn, use this to bypass update nag. Hopefully the system transfer moves the exploit for the dsiware title, not sure if anything is done server side.

while on 9.2 ctr-httpwn said to update to 9.6.. and i did something (idk what) and now aparently I updated to 11.2, still have the exploit games, AND can system transfer LOL

Phew. Did you update via system settings? If so, lucked out that it kept everything. The CTR-HTTPWN readme says you have to run the app twice on systems under 9.6 to get it to work.

Oh well, at least you are all set up on 9.2, best of luck with the rest of the guide.

so i wanted to make sure everything was set up properly before I was screwed anal-y, and i leave the system transfer screen to see that the dsiware and sub games are gone. Luckily I made a backup before entering the system transfer just in case that exact thing happens.
gonna restore the backup, make sure everything is setup, and try to system transfer

hopefully i dont get screwed over in the end, and everything actually transfers..

I'm not sure about what you're asking here, but you CAN'T bypass the wait time between transfers. There's simply no way, it's completely done server-side.

Also, what you say, about still having the "tickets" to the DSiWare game, that won't work! The game is no more linked to the console in Nintendo servers, so the transfer wouldn't get the DSiWare anyway. If this worked, it would be possible to use pirated CIA installed copies of the DSiWare games for this method.

You must wait the whole 7 days and transfer from the 3DS where the actual legit game is linked!

the game IS a legit copy from the previous transfer i did like 2 days ago. i never deleted it.
and it's not just the ticket, its installed, and the exploit save works too.

You CAN'T transfer DSiWare games if the games aren't linked on Nintendo servers on the source console. Right now it's like if you had installed the CIA of the DSiWare game, since the transfer wouldn't get the game since the game isn't linked anymore to the console.

Again, if this idea worked, it would be possible to transfer a pirated CIA DSiWare game, but it's not.

Does THAT console have the NNID you bought the DSiWare game on?

If the answer is NO, then it's the same as if you had installed a CIA of the game. You can't transfer it.

You CAN'T transfer DSiWare games if the games aren't linked on Nintendo servers on the source console. Right now it's like if you had installed the CIA of the DSiWare game, since the transfer wouldn't get the game since the game isn't linked anymore to the console.

my comments are getting typed up and posted, in the middle of you typing yours. So it seems like I'm a 7 year old who has no clue what he's doing, but I'm not. I just want to know if doing this system transfer would be a waste of time, and a waste of 7 days.

If you restore a NAND backup containing the DSiWare game to a console which doesn't have the account where you bought the game originally anymore:

1. You can't transfer said game, since the transfer works server-side and it identifies the game isn't in your actual account (even if it's installed from a legit purchase from before the NAND image was created).

2. If you had just done the transfer, the NAND restore won't magically restore the wait time. It's server side. And even if it tells you it will work, it'll fail at the last moment.

Just wait the whole 7 days and transfer from the console which has linked the account with the legit DSiWare game bought.
