This is a list of the GARC and romfs locations / structure from the demo. Should be pretty similar to the final game. Credits to the people at ProjectPokemon.

Is a\0\8\1 the actual models or is it just the map/npc data which tells the game which model to use for which NPC?

Has anyone found the images from the credits (as in, the "photos"?) I'm pretty interested in those, even though I'm not expecting anything high-res or anything like that. Just a bit better than tilted and on a 3ds screen. d:

Anyone knows where the battle BG models are?

Would it be possible to replace the wifi battle virtual stadium background model?

I'm tired of seeing the same background since XY.

Would be nice to replace it with ones found in the game (I assume only some might work, as they might lag the game if they are too detailed)

I have a question relating to battle models. Would it be possible to import the battle models from ORAS into Sun and Moon? (Once Ohana gets updated, obviously)

Nevermind; they're in a/2/8/1.
But they look like this, so idk if that's a problem with Ohana or what. Oh well. :(

It wasn't possible from XY to ORAS (as far as I know, I tried it and I've not seen anyone successfully do it) so I doubt it would be possible from gen 6>gen 7, on a new engine.

I can't seem to get this to repack a GARC folder. Did this change in the new version? I "dragged" a unpacked folder onto the exe after extracting it earlier and nothing happens... :(

EDIT:

Never-mind. I think I can do it with pk3DS. It just wasn't apparent where the garc unpacker/packer function was initially so I attempted to use the separate GARC tool.

I was wondering if anyone knew a way to go about dumping my pokemon sun and moon rom? I don't have a custom firmware, though I'm pretty sure I can get one if its necessary. I'd much prefer to just use braindump, though I understand that might not be possible with the way sun and moon is built.

Don't know, why but you have to increase the length by 16 pixels in source code to make it work... Or you can manually do it in photoshop.

Does anyone know how the pokedex filtering algorithm works in the game? I'm assuming the parameters are stored in the a folder. (e.g. you could filter by color, shape, alora/mega/shiny, etc.)

Did you do this and compile it?
Could you perhaps share the compiles version of Ohana for this?
I actually don't use Ohana but I created my own tool for bflim conversion. I don't know why in this particular case you need to adjust the parameter by 16 pixels (in another example, a260, the adjustment is 24 pixels), so this is not a generic way of doing the conversion. I will share more when I find out more...

Guys i'm having trouble with replacing overworld models. When I goto replace one model with another in a/1/9/6 the model doesn't change to the one that I replaced it with, is there more than one model of a specific person in the GARC, or am I just looking in the wrong GARC?

I still can't figure this out. Am I doing something wrong? :/
