Gaming Just got a 3DS XL to try Pokemon again and now my master rig and PS4 sit collecting dust. WTF happen

Just got a 3DS as I was curiuos to try Pokemon again after all these years. Now my PC and PS4 sit unused. WTF happened to me? (self.gaming) submitted just now by BlueSaber80 I'm honestly a bit of a shock and somewhat denial about this. I have a very nice i7 rig with a Asus STRIX 1080 GTX on a nice 27'' 1440p monitor and a customized computer case with all the goodies, Battlefield 1, Witcher 3, Fallout 4, Doom, OverWatch ect... I've been playing them and loving them. Have my PS4 in living room for Destiny, Last of Us, Resident Evil series, Rocket League and others.

But every since I got this stupid 3DS XL to try out Pokemon Sun after not playing a Gameboy or pokemon in over a decade and now also trying out Smash Bro's and Fire Emblem, I am unable to put this little shitty resolution Nintendo piece of plastic crap down to play any "real" games on " real" machines.

I'm having too much damn fun giggling like a girl in my chair with my headphones while my 11 year old me wanders around a fake cartoon land kicking hot girls butts with my fire kitten named after my own cat. Or watching and laughing my ass off as mario and Link go flying across the cool 3D screen after I bang them with the hammer in Smash Brothers as pikachu.

Now im trying to get a local copy of Fire Emblem as Im really amazed at the quality all around of the Awakening demo and I wanna watch and play more of this unique RPG that i've heard about, but never understood what the big deal was vs the Final Fantasy series

WTF happened to me guys?!!! I used to be a grown up and cool! Why am I finding this outdated Nintendo pixelated mobile gaming crap so much fun?

In case you are, you don't need 4k 1080p HD 60fps everything to enjoy a game, nor does it make you more mature. Games are to be enjoyable, for people in general, no matter their age.
3DS had more success than vita just because their first party actually cared in making it well known, even if it has like half the resolution the vita can achieve.

While nintendo has techniques that may be hit or miss (looking at you, gimmicks like 3D, Motion, Touch screen), they push whatever they have to the fullest. or release like 7 revisions of the same thing that just bump the quality a bit further.

Im real serious. I honestly did not think I would enjoy a dink low resolution POS like the 3DS vs all the other expensive toys I have right now as an older man. I actually spent serious time and money already in finding out about the IPS vs TN panels, trying over 15 different 3D"s via online and at Gamestop and spend $300 just to have the sexy Fire Emblem 3DS XL with dual IPS panels. 3 weeks ago I didn't give a shit about any of this, and now im obessed and wanting to get a $160 sealed version of Fire Emblem Fates

Oudated? That's your answer dude, you think like a "bruh, no HD, 4K, High-end quality graphics sucks" idiotic mentallity, videogames are about that GAMES, GAMEPLAY, having fun playing said games and Nintendo it's an expert doing that. Fallout, Witcher, GTA, etc have their magic but never judge a game for it's graphic quality.

there are some EXCELLENT tittles or Hidden Gems on the Nintendo library, that don't need AWESOME Graphics, as example.
Little King Story, its one.

When I play my pc I have to wait for it to start then Launch and wait for pvp or grind for hours killing the same mob over and over trying to collect some item that has a ridiculously low drop rate. You should look into playing DS games on your computer, and running them on that HD desmu plugin. I'm sure the 3ds emulator will eventually be able to upscale models as well. Put that gtx 1080 to work
