Homebrew A simpler way to get my NNID back onto my source 3DS?

Once I complete the a9lh setup on my 11.0 console, couldn't I just perform a system format, and in doing that, unlink the NNID? Then just log in from my source 3ds?

No. You have to either do a system transfer back or contact Nintendo and ask them to move it.

NNIDs are tied to the console on Nintendo's servers, and formatting alone doesn't remove that. It has to be transferred.
