And use it to downgrade their 3ds systems with then when they are done they log off the Nintendo ID that purchased it and I use it to do the downgrade method on my own systems.

Simply put... Nope as the only way for you to get that game is by system transfer which you probably already know but the user who wants to give the nintendo ID must format their whole 3ds for you to take it and lose all their save data and purchased games. Not to mention for dsiwarehax to work you need to have another hacked 3ds.

EDIT: they have to reset their eshop account and doing that will also format their system***

Both of our systems are hacked but we are trying to downgrade the new 3ds systems from black Friday. We both also live in completely different states but we're just trying to save the cost of buying a game if we can share a Nintendo ID that has the game purchased.

Yeah Im not sure but you can ask someone else as I tried this before and im pretty sure you cant use an o3ds to do dsiwarehax on a new3ds (Assuming your hacked 3ds is a o3ds)

It's not possible to do the dsiwarehax from original to new? I guess I'm screwed even if I did own the game.

Better look into hardmodding then.

i'm pretty sure its the other way around, you cant do it new to old, but you can do it old to new.

however, i'm pretty sure you can't do what you're trying to do there.
just pay the game twice. considering you're getting everything else for free (and you do keep the remainder of the money on your new system too), its a small price.

It's more about not wanting to move hundreds of dollars worth of purchases back and forth and having to wait a week or calling Nintendo to get it back on there rather than being a cheapskate avoid an $8 game.

so wait you're not trying to move to a new system, you're doing what? a hacking-service or something?

I want all my purchases, downloads, etc to remain on my original 3ds.

Maybe I should just wait till the new 3ds to come in and buy it on there and wait for slowhax.

i was able to hack a N3DS using a O3DS as source..game must be purchased legally on source system and hack save before transferring. There might be a tendency where the system will ask you to transfer the SD card to the target console so be prepared beforehand..backup both SD cards before doing the transfer..

edit: ignore my post, think it's already been answered :)

I'm not confused on how to do it. I just don't want to transfer all my years of legitimate purchases for a one time downgrade.

sorry im sleepy at the moment, busy day at work.. anyway, if the source system is already hacked can't you do a NAND backup? backup contents of SD card as well so you dont have to redownload games and prevent losing save files..all you have to do is wait for the NNID to be linked to original system after a week..

I'm so glad I'm alright with a soldering iron :rofl2:. As far as I know you won't be able to transfer back whatever account you use from the new 3ds to an old 3ds so you'll be effectively sacrificing that account, if any of you are decent with a soldering iron look into hardmodding to downgrade

you could but you have to ring Nintendo so they could do it on their end but it is a hassle tho.. Lucky you know how to solder..

edit: only the NNID needs to be relinked to original system if you made a nand backup and SD card backup..so yeah you still have to ring Nintendo support for the NNID..

or you move to your new system and have all your old stuff on it, then make any random new nnid (or maybe you dont even need that), buy the downgrade game again on your old, now empty and fresh but still hacked 3ds and downgrade the next thing.
its 8 bucks per downgrade, still a good deal
