even the basic red, blue, yellow ones or custom ones i install with howling theme ( which show up in the theme selection on my 3ds)

they all revert to default when i reboot the 3ds, how can i make them permant

using an o3ds xl with luma running a9lh on 11.2 latest sysnand

****EDIT**** 10/24/18 I did end up fixing it years ago, it was because I was using a 128gb sd card and apparently its common with larger sd cards, you have to format them a specific way or the read/write times are too slow and thats what causes the themes to revert to default.

Chmn2.cia or whatever install your theme save as a layout once you reboot choose as layout and should stay perm
that didnt work, chmm2 doesnt install the theme to where it shows up in the selection on my 3ds in the home menu settings, howling tools makes it show up but no matter what theme i choose, even the stock ones, they all revert to default (no theme) on reboot

You have to delete your Homemenu extdata

Try deleting your theme cache Nintendo 3DS<ID0><ID1>\extdata\00000000\000002cd

000002cd is USA 000002ce is EUR and 000002cd is JPN

Formatting the card to fat 32 with 64k cluster with guiformat fixed the problem, everything is wonderful, and everything is faster, GBA still works even though I heard it breaks for some people using 64k clusters
