Well it seems like I have no choice to stick to emunand/menuhax anymore since the a9lh bandwagon is forcing everyone to switch.Thankfully I beat sun and moon so I really have no excuse anymore.Heres one last picture of my 3ds working with emunand before it gets bricked.Too bad no one can buy me a new one so I think this will be goodbye.

Nobody is forcing to switch to A9LH but it just makes sense to keep up with the scene, as support is very seldom giving to outdated solutions and most of the time people cannot be arsed to help, especially with the likes of RxTools, etc.

With the thread title "Time to let my 3DS brick with A9LH" that is not the correct mindset to be in, if you choose to go that route and shows zero confidence. Like others have said, bricking is very low unless you cannot follow instructions clearly or are impatient whilst do them.

right now I'm redownloading all the correct files from the guide first.I had them before but they are probley outdated.I have to seed the damn ctr 2.1.0 file so it's going to take a bit due to my Internet speed

I bricked a console installing a9lh but it was my own fault. I tried to downgrade emunand to 2.1 using the homebrew launcher instead of the CIA. Since everything is done in sysnand now this is no longer an issue.

I have done six more systems since without any problems.

If your using a new 3ds then it will be a piece of cake that takes 15m (without backing up nand time) , the guide just mostly explains installing cias and FBI and injecting and stuff so if you done that before with experience you should be fine, it's just drag and drop like 10files to the a9lh folder then running safearm9loaderinstaller and boom you have it installed

I read the guide for the old3ds and it has 1 extra step which is transferring a 2.1 ctrnand partition to your 3ds which again is just a drag and drop and install and boom you will be able to extract your otp
Here's where I'm at now,I selected the ctr 2.1.0 and its backing up my NAND.I guess it does it all automatically

Just read the guide carefully and you will get through it real easy
I am but I doubt ill have the same luck as everyone else.I also had to do a part where I had to delete the 01 files and keep the 00 ones in files 9 according to the guide after I did the ticket thing in the sysnand

Well i just wanna share that i brick my 3ds, not by installing a9hl, but instead, once my rxtools setup was ready, i tried restore my system nand with the gateway menu, i'm a special kind of idiot.

The updated guide no longer uses downgrade to 2.1 on the n3ds , its mostly drag and drop and install which is otpless
Well damn. I don't know then. I guess OTPless is the way now. I admit I just modded a 3DSXL and it took a few hours to get the ball rolling.
