Homebrew Can someone point me to the right direction?

Hi i want to learn to use start PKhex but i am not sure where do i need to start from. Stopped using my 3ds for quite some time and pretty much at a loss when it comes to CFW, homebrew and all. If anyone could be kind enough to link me to the tutorials to do so and the things needed, it would be much appreciated!

Some information, using the old 3DS XL, firmware is currently on 11.2.0.35U, which i think is currently unable to use homebrew?
but i have another spare old 3DS on 9.4.0.24U, which i think has already got homebrew installed using the guide from here https://plailect.github.io/Guide/. How do i process from here before i can start using pkhex?

YOU NEED CFW FOR S/M PKHEX!!!!! As far as I know a downgrade is easy on 9.4, did you update yet?

Still currently following the guide on https://plailect.github.io/Guide/get-started, will it eventually get me cfw? already downgraded to 9.2 but keep getting a error and was told to restart while trying to access homebrew, but still able to access homebrew using the browser

That's not true, you can still load S/M with JKSM with only HB.
