The Nuty Server ​

hey tempers! I present a server that is in beta right now for Garry's Mod!
It is based in my basement Ontario, Canada!
Feel free to join: 99.248.197.68
it may have issues i had two friend join and some stranger so it should work.
I will be shutting the server down in about 30 minutes from the post.
It is running sandbox right now with nothing new, please join I wanna shape it to be good!

Well today is your lucky day, I fixed my windows OS. I'll be on GMOD server tommorow or a few days later. I'll be busy tuesday and wendsday probably. Add me on steam it's in my signature

I suggest to change it to another gamemode, Sandbox is a bad gamemode when it comes to putting a server in public

Maybe something like Prop Hunt or TTT is good

And never forget to put an anticheat(like I put before). You will need it

I have VAC enabled, isn't that good enough.
I am thinking of renaming the server to something gbatemp related, what should the name be?

Not at all. VAC is GMod is pretty much a joke and there's so many lua mods that get past VAC easily. For my TTT server I use !cake as an anticheat and it's already banned at least 20 people for using cheats on the server.

Decent anticheats are going to cost money. Same for other addons that make a server unique. Unless you have an understanding of lua and know how to code in it. (Relatively easy to learn.) I'd recommend not using the "shared" scripts posted online either as they usually have backdoors or have DRM that gets activated if it's on a ton of servers. If you have any questions, let me know. (My TTT server has had over 456 players connect and is currently 854th in the leaderboards so I know a thing or two.)

since you know abit about servers, do you know how to have multiple gamemodes on one server that people can vote for(aswell as different maps)? I know the map part, i can't figure out multiple gamemodes though.

Not really recommended as it tends to break/not load in certain gamemodes properly. However Fretta should have it built in so that you can allow users to change the gamemode.
