What do you prefer and are you using a Vita or PSTV? For me Sharp Bilinear on the Vita looks best but pretty much everything looks quite rough when most games are scaled up via the PSTV.

Has TheFlow stated if he will be adding any extra filters into this excellent bit of homebrew in the future? Some of the filters used in other emulators are absolutely amazing in the effect they can create:

Upscaling is also awesome:

And would be a great feature if the Vita has enough power to be able to pull it off as it makes the graphics look so crisp, especially via that OLED screen.

Personally, I don't see the appeal in most filtering.
Their not adding more detail, their just smudging everything together with vaseline. In fact, your losing detail this way.

Unless it's a filter that's trying to mimic the look of an old display (CRT filters/GameBoy dot matrix), their completely worthless to me.

NOTE: Your last example is an emulator re-rendering the 3D models at a higher resolution (not a simple upscale). I can't see the Vita realistically pulling this off.

I'd much much rather have the 2x upscale.
GTA VCS is going to be soooo pretty then.

That reminds me, I should modify the remapped controls plugin.

What we really need is to be able to play at the native PSP resolution, even if that means that we have black borders. this way it's pixel perfect. You could argue, that you can use a normal PSP then, which I have, but Vita has better colors than PSP 3000.

Thanks for that clarification, I just dug those images up on a search and thought that one looked very impressive. When it comes to filters vs jaggies its no contest to me, the PS3 does a great job of making PS2 games look nice with its smoothing filter and there are some nice options on the emulators too. Adrenaline is great for the Vita but PSTV really does need something as the image doesn't look to good at that resolution.

I'd be very happy with a 2x upscale as well as it makes games look so amazing, think the Vita could handle that? I've seen PPSSPP run on some mid spec phones before with nice graphical effects so either a port of that or inclusion of the gfx side into Adrenaline would be amazing.

Not for me although I can see the appeal, the main thing I'm looking for is PSP games that look nice on the TV and fill the whole screen unlike the PSPs TV out.
