(Sorry if this is in the wrong section, thought it would be more relevant and useful here than on the game's thread)

I see here in this compatibility list that Prosecutor's Path works on Loadiine GX2. I expect it to work in that case.

Unfortunately, near the end of case 5 there's a part where you have to use the microphone to blow away dust for fingerprints. I blow and the animation for the blowing is there but it doesn't actually remove the dust. Ergo, I can't progress any further than this.

Whoever put Prosecutor's Path as working was clearly not doing their job properly and only put it as working after playing a bit. Either that, or they can come here and explain how the heck they managed to get past that part and finish the game.

It's not listed in the known issues either. Must be a Loadiine exclusive.

If no one is going to help me with a proper solution then fine, delete this. I had to import/export the save file and pass this part on an emulator.

No one can help you because there is no solution. The DS VC emulator just isn't fully compatible with every game, and therefore just doesn't work with that part of the game.

Can you really blame the guy who marked it as working though? Can you imagine how long it would take to populate the compatibility list if everyone played each game through their entirety?

Hey, that's what I assumed people did. I'd say it was a logical assumption, because there's a possibility of issues being near the end of or in the middle of games, halting progress.

But never mind then, I finished the game. I kept the save file so that when my friends get to this part, I can just swap the save file and it'll be good, even though it's tedious.

I get where you are coming from but normally the game is only tested for about 10 to 15 minutes before being declared as working because 99% of the time if it works for that long it will work for the rest of the game and as has been stated it would take way to long to play every game from start to finish before declaring it as working.

Sorry about that. Yeah I just tested it for a little bit. Ended up only paying case 1 and a bit of case 2 (already finished on real hardware) and i declared it working because i didn't encounter any problems up to that point. I see where you're coming from but most people like me just test it for a little bit and then put it in. However when people so find problems they can edit the wiki. I would encourage you to update and correct the wiki to add the note that the microphone part isn't passable without hacks.

Out of curiosity, do you still have a save at the spot where you need to use the microphone?
I do and don't. Ace Attorney games have 2 different save points: The save point where you save wherever you want by pressing start and the chapter save which is given to you after finishing a part. I saved after the microphone part so you'd have to use the chapter save and go through like 2 cross examinations and a bunch of text.

Oh, so you were the perpetrator who did it. You are now hereby declared guilty by Judge Courtney, you will serve 5 years in jail, right next to the mastermind. ;)

Well, I suppose I'll go update that on the wiki.
Edit: Done.

That'd be fine, at that point the text could be skipped since the save has "seen it". I'm mainly interested to see if more recent base games than NSMB will fix it (NSMB uses an emulator from Nintendo that's a year old at this point, so something more recent like Kirby Squeak Squad (mid 2015) or Mario 3-on-3 (came out like 2 weeks ago)).

If someone had a save file from before the microphone portion and how to convert it for use with the VC emulator, I'd gladly inject the ROM into every DS VC game and report the results back to you.

Actually, it doesn't work like that in Ace Attorney. Normally, you can skip text anytime, but in this game for some reason you can't except for when the lock wasn't applied which only happened in certain parts of case 4 I noticed.
I had injected the game into Fire Emblem Shadow Dragon rather than New Super Mario Bros since I didn't have that game, so there's a start for you.

Edit: Hey, if anyone wants my save file, that's fine as long as you tell me how to upload it. :P
