So my friend fucked up dsiware hax and bought fieldrunners on to the unhacked 3ds. We don't want to buy it again, and I'm wondering if I can do a system transfer to the hacked 3ds and then install dsiwarehax and then do dsiwarehax normal after that?

So another one bought it on the wrong 3DS, so this means a tutorial about that should say in bold or something it must be bought on the hacked 3DS.
A system transfer wouldn't hurt I think.

Call Nintendo and ask them to do a transfer for you and you can download it in the hacked system. Just make up some reason, don't ever say it was stolen though.
Otherwise it'll take you 2 weeks to do.

One other thing you could do is a system format on both systems (you can do your emunand), and sign back in on the hacked 3ds to the nnid with the game. That way you wont have to wait. (if it was bought with no id, just sign in on one on his 3ds.)

You can't do that. The server keeps track of which console is linked to what NNID. NNID can only be linked to one console and that link isn't removed server-side when you format the system.

Always has been for me. I did that to do the dsiware downgrade multiple 3ds's on one account (I have multiple a9lh systems).
As far as I Can tell, that unlinks it.

Edit: I remember back when I first a9lh'd my n3ds, a nintendo rep just had me format my n3ds when I wanted to move back to my o3ds, instead of them doing it manually.

Oh, that must be new coz it did not used to work like that. I stand corrected.
